I Love Love Love Aurifil thread. Never have I experienced a thread that just sews so smoothly thru my machine, whether I’m quilting, piecing or even appliqueing. What I love the most about it, is that they offer it in different weights and so many colors that give such a wonderful contrast to whatever you’re working on.
When I asked them for a giveaway item for Quilt Qwazy Queens 2017, once again, they are there to help sponsor this event. They even let me choose which collection we get to offer for this event. Let me tell you, it was not an easy choice, I spent a good two hours looking over the collections, and narrowing down the field of different designer collections. I finally settled on Claudia Pfeil’s Surf Squirt Collection because it has fun summery colors, and because it also offers the multi-colored threads that are so much fun to quilt with.
Thank you Aurifil for offering the opportunity for someone to win this wonderful collection. Aurifil will be shipping this to you, so this giveaway is open to everyone.
Next up.. As of 4am February 24, 2017, all FlickR rewards are caught up.. “phew” 🙂
Also and sadly, I made a big boo boo in block 01 of Twas The Night Before Christmas, if you purchased and downloaded this block already, please download it again before you attempt to create it. Somehow the bottom window in the house shape was deleted before I published the block. I had to readd that shape to the pattern, it affects every part of the pattern, the shapes, the key, the embroidery and cutting files. While you can make the house without the window, it is obvious when you see how it affects the pattern.
The zip file and the pdf have both been corrected at Craftsy, since all purchases of this block were made at Craftsy. My sincerest apologies for this blunder, I can’t believe I didn’t even notice the problem. Thank you to Trudy who noticed the problem and notified me about it.
I hope you all have a great weekend, I’ll be sewing this weekend and working on finishing up block 03 and 04 of TTNBC… Coming next week, I’ll be announcing the Row Along for 2017 and it’s theme… We have a really fun one cooked up for you this year.
