I wanted to post a little note real quick today. 30 Blocks In 30 Days started yesterday, my day for this hop is April 20th, and I’ve got a great giveaway for you that day also. You will want to be sure you stop in and enter it that day.
In the meantime I’m posting the full schedule for you, it started yesterday, but ya’ll know how I feel about posting on weekends, I only do it when really really necessary.
I’ve also updated the 2018 BOTM page with some new botms and qals. Continue reading
Its been a busy week for me, how about you? I spent last week trying to get this pattern written up, it really doesn’t seem like it would be that complicated, but I added some additional shape keys in each of the embroidery shapes so it might be easier to tell which shapes are the actual embroidery shapes for those of you who are doing hand embroidery. I liked this so much I will go back and do it to the other 9 patterns so far in this series as I do believe it makes it easier for you to know those shapes. These patterns have so many especially small shapes I think it really needs to be done.
There are some changes to the block of the month 2018 page also. Continue reading
I have released the next cupcake for you today.
I also have released a fun new quilt pattern for Mardi Gras, those lucky enough to get to go to Mardi Gras you may enjoy this quilt you can make as a fond remembrance of your trip. I’ve always wanted to go to Mardi Gras.
With Twas The Night, I was working on finishing up the pattern when I realized I was working on the wrong block… uggghhh!!! The pattern I showed you as a preview last month is actually release Block 11, so, I’m quickly working on block 10 to get it finished up so I can release block 11. My apologies for that, I would go ahead and release it, but I don’t want anyone to get confused with the block order so am going to hold on it till I release block 10.
In other news, I have a poll on this post, I really need your input on your preference for free downloads. I just don’t get why downloading a free pattern is so difficult for some and not a problem for others. I know my preference is to simply go back to Payhip, I had a lot fewer issues with it, but at the same time, I’m not understanding how the cart is giving people issues also.
I have finally settled on a plan for how I’ll do the Cupcake of the Month series.
Sorry, everyone, I was determined to get the TTNBC Block 09 pattern released the other day then got stuck at the car repair all day on Tuesday. I sat there waiting for my car to be fixed and ended up getting a rental car until the next day.
Either or, I worked on it all day yesterday to finish and finally got it done. In the meantime, I did upload the Continuous Line patterns to the bundles each day for those of you who purchased the bundle, if you haven’t downloaded them since you purchased you may want to go and do that. The last 2 patterns will be released tomorrow and Monday for the bundles, and Monday will be the last day for the free patterns on my blog along with my project for Island Batik.
So, let’s get down to the nitty and the gritty…
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below, is block 08 of Twas The Night Before Christmas. Isn’t it a beautiful block?
Much like the first block in some ways but I love the night sky, the snow falling, and the additional trees that the artist added to the block. I do not think it was easy for him to come up with artwork for the lines in this part of the story.
This is the Flickr Reward block.
In other news…. Continue reading
Well it’s been nearly two weeks since the doctor let me remove the cast. I’m happy about how my arm is healing and can almost bend it in the “L” shape again. I still can’t lift anything heavy, but I know that will come in time again. So, I have been working to get my sewing room cleaned up and ready to hit the sewing machine hopefully later in the week.
How about all of you? With Thanksgiving just four days away, I’ve a little treat for you in this post today along with the release of block 7 in Twas The Night Before Christmas.
Block 8 will come sometime around the end of this week, I’m still putting that pattern together, but it is almost ready for release.
I’ve also released the next set of Continuous Line Blocks 04-06 in case you are collecting those.
All Flickr rewards are caught up.
I should have written this page long ago, but it’s done now, so should help you know what has been released and hasn’t. I will keep it updated with each release of the various blocks.
This year I’m taking on two blocks of the month projects. Originally these were scheduled to be one year block of the month projects, but I realize now, they are going to have to be two-year projects. I will, however, try to finish the Canadian Sue and Sam in one year.
The first is a continuation of last years Sue and Sam Travel the World, but this year they are traveling the USA and Canada. Each state and province will be done.
The second is a paid block of the month featuring the story of Twas The Night Before Christmas.
This page is here to let you see what’s been released during the year, and what the guidelines are for the year.
