Twas The Night Before Christmas Block 01 Released

Twas The Night Before Christmas Block Of The Month

Just released on Craftsy, Block 01 of Twas The Night Before Christmas.

For now, I’m going to note, this is the paid Block Of The Month, the cost for those of you who will ask is 5.00 per month. There are two files to download, the pdf, and a zip file that contains the machine embroidery and svg cutting files. If you don’t need the zip, just download the pdf. 🙂

You can turn in your finished block at the Flickr group for up to 60 days, to get the second block free. However, you can purchase the block for 5.00 for one month also. After 30 days, the cost of the blocks will go up to 7.50 each.

I’ve made a PInterest group for Twas The Night and a Facebook group called Seams To Be Sew Help for help with this quilt and my other patterns if you’d care to join it.

Block 02 will be released next week. I really need my desktop to do the embroidery files, the digitizing goes so slow on my laptop it took me until just this morning to finish it all, so I will get that setup come **** or high water this weekend.

Starting tomorrow is A Fresh Snow Blog Hop, in which at least 4 blogs each day for the next 5 days (no weekends) will be showing what they’ve created with their unique fabrics. I know what some of them have cooked up and I am very excited to see the final projects for this one and I bet you will be to. There will be giveaways for each day of the hop, although they will all be drawn together next Thursday the 26th of January.  Be sure to stop in to Seams To Be Sew each also as I’ll be offering a Free pattern each day of the hop.. you don’t want to miss these really cute patterns.

Sunbonnet Sue and Sam are due also for there first release next Monday, January 23rd, and I will do my darndest to be sure they are released on time.

I hope you all have a magical day, and thank you for stopping in today.

    Did I miss block 2?

  2. Jam says:

Sue Garmin did a beautiful pattern as “Twas The Night…” in 2008. And, there are plenty of takes on this very particular phrase.

    Hello Marian
I just purchased and downloaded the first block for “Twas The Night Before Christmas B01 2017 BOTM” for Australian $6.62.
Terribly dissappointed when the zip file was extracted and there was no pdf file there anywhere, only two files called Cutting & Emb.
What happened to the pdf file which is the only part I require please? :-((
    regards, Michele-Marie

Hi Michele-Marie, I think the problem is in Firefox actually. Try using a different browser if possible. In the meantime tho I am combining the pdf and zip file so they are one download again as I know it is frustrating.. I should have that up tomorrow for everyone, maybe later tonight.

Wow what an awesome intricate pattern. I can’t wait to get started. I kept my Christmas fabrics out because I knew this was coming! GREAT job.

Ok, I’m excidedly nervous now. As I was looking through the 70+ pages to determine which I needed to print out, I came across where you mentioned svg cutting files and using a Silhouette. I got the Cameo 3 for Christmas! All I’ve done is cut out a few sheets of hexies with it so far, but I think this is the perfect excuse to use it for fabric! I have NO clue what I’m doing (this is my first cutter ever) but I’ll be following your tutorial you gave the link to so I’m sure I’ll do fine. Thank You! 🙂

Well let me know if you have any questions Mel, I’m happy to help if I can.. I’ll need to know which method of applique your using also, because that would effect instructions for using the cutting files.

  6. Mel says:

YAY!!! I just got mine. You have no idea how many times a day I refreshed your website waiting for this. 🙂 Looking forward to getting it made hopefully by the end of this weekend.

awww I’m sorry Mel, when I posted the other day, I honestly thought it was going to be simple to get the pattern done that day, then my old laptop just went so slow I knew I was going to be in trouble, but I have had very little sleep getting it all done, so I’m hoping it’s all good, I double and triple checked everything, so at this point I’m thinking it’s good.
