Coming In July to Seams To Be Sew … My 2015 BoW

Coming In July

2015 Block Of The Week O Holy Night

2015 BoW

Coming July 10th, each and every friday for 12 weeks, I will feature a small part of this wallhanging project.

I’ve always had a little infatuation with nativity scenes. I’ve collected a few of them be it made out of porcelain, wood, and even glass. As a quilter, I’ve wanted to create a nativity scene for years, so now, I’m bringing my creation to you.

I’ve named it O Holy Night because that is my favorite Christmas song of the season.

This nativity scene features the artwork of Angie Wenke.

It has been created in Electric Quilt 7 and Bernina Designer Plus v7

You will not need EQ to create your own, you will receive patterns in pdf format.

This will be limited, each part will be available free for one week only, then made available for sale until the end of the project.

I hope you will follow along and create it with me

  1. Hi Marian
I simply love your new BOM starting in July and I was wondering how I go about joining the group.

  2. Absolutely adorable Marian!! I so love Nativity scenes. With every new pattern you share with us, I am once again awed by your talent. I will be anxiously awaiting your fabric requirments. Thank so much Marian!!

    1. Hi Pricilla,

While I created this in EQ, you will be able to make this on your own also. No need for EQ on this one… The pattern will be in pdf as is EQ Seasons. the difference is that EQ Seasons also includes tutorials on how to work in EQ.

  3. I shared this on Twitter. Hope that’s OK with you. Lovely design in EQ7, Marian.

Please share the details of how you created this in EQ7. Thanks!

    1. Very cool Al, I don’t have a twitter account, so I really appreciate it. Thank you.

I already have applique drawing tutorials in my tutorial area on this site for drawing in EQ, while it’s not the nativity itself, it is done in the same way.
