I have so much to say today, I’m not sure where to start… it was a busy weekend… Frank was finally home long enough that we managed to get all the rest of the giveaways from the Row Along and Enter If U Dare all squared away… The labels are made and the postman will pick them up today. I’m sorry some of you have had to wait, he’s had some really long hours of late and it’s not going to stop anytime soon, we just lucked out that one of the engineers couldn’t work this past weekend. With my hand the way it has been, I couldn’t do it myself either. I will be at the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully, I will have some good news on removing this cast. I’ve still got a wedding gift to finish for next month and I am worried I am not going to get it finished.
Next month, starting December 01, 2017 is the start of 12 Days of Christmas. If you’ve been with me for the last four years that I have done this, you’ll remember it’s a fun time of the year. I give away a pattern a day for the 12 weekdays of December. (no weekends) Two years ago, Janeen at Quiltart and I started doing this as a together event. She also has done a 12 Days of Christmas event on her blog for at least the last four years and it could even be longer than that. Janeen and I did our patterns as a combined project last year, you may remember
Last year, during the first 16 days of December, Janeen at Quilt Art and I presented you with our second 12 Days of Christmas event. It can be so fun to see how ya’ll are creating the projects and it’s really cool when you send us pictures. Once again, Susan who sent me her first picture in February has now sent me her finished project… I asked her to also send some closeups as I thought you’d really like to see some close ups also.
So inside this post, are some closeups and a larger image of her finished project.
12 Days by Susan E
One of the best things about designing patterns is when you send me a picture of your project. This doesn’t happen very often, so when it does, there isn’t a designer I know of that doesn’t want to show it off. It’s a true compliment when someone recreates one of your patterns.
Last week, Susan E sent me her wallhanging project of the 12 Days of Christmas that Janeen and I offered over the first few weeks in December.
Susan is planning to add the borders also to this project and I hope she will send her project again. I think it’s turned out just amazing and so today I’m sharing it with you so you to can enjoy what she’s done. Susan kindly gave me permission to feature it on my blog post today.
Hi Everyone!! It’s so hard to believe, just a few days away is Christmas and I have just finished up these patterns for you.
I have added a left corner border with a Gingerbread Train Station, Train Cars 09 and 10, and a option bottom right corner with a Gingerbread House and Tunnel instead. I hope you like them. These are available currently only in my Craftsy Store.
I know I am very late today, I never meant to post so very very late. I am sure it’s because I took on to much for today’s post, but I hope you will think it’s worth it. I really appreciate your patience.
I look forward to this event, each year I’ve had my blog opened I’ve done something for Christmas. Last year, I had made a lot of tree patterns, and I had remembered that Janeen also does a 12 days event on her blog. I wrote her and asked if we could do it together and it’s been fun to do it last year and this year. This year, we got together on the same project and came up with the Gingerbread Village for you. This is a fun way to bring people to our blog, and still say Thank You for visiting. We hope you’ll come back for more next year.
So, first, a Huge Huge Huge Thank You for visiting me this year, visiting Janeen, encouraging us to bring you the best of what we have to offer you. It’s a real delight to hear or read a great comment, or see a thank you, or even just wishing us well because you may not have seen us post for awhile. Believe me, if you weren’t visiting, I doubt I’d still be running a blog.
So let’s get to the nitty and the gritty.. Today’s last release… I have for you the Sledding Ginger pattern featured in Block 9 of Janeen‘s pattern. Train 08, Continue reading
Day 11 is here and tomorrow at this time, will be the last day of 12 Days of Christmas. Janeen has block 12 available on her blog. She’s added her blocks to her Craftsy Store for you to pick up if you missed one, I have added days 01 to day 10 on my Craftsy Shop..
I keep apologizing for being late, but ya know, it’s only 9:17am in the morning here in Colorado.. I am not late.. :p~
Today I have for you the Skating Gingerbread Girl and Train Car 07.
Please note, I had thought I schedule this post to go live at 1am, but it turns out, it was 1pm… To the visitor who emailed me, Thank you for letting me know it wasn’t live..
Day 10 is here full of promise and fun… Today is a big day for patterns, as you can see in the image to the left, this is Block 5 of Janeen’s background block. I’ve added the Gingerbread Tree, The Village Light Pole, and the mailbox.
In my idea of how it should look, the Gingerbread Tree is right between block 5 and 6, it sits on the seam of the blocks stitched together..
