I am so happy to see you all again. Today is my day for the Cya In September Blog Hop organized by Madam Samm at Sew We Quilt and cheerleader Shari, both of whom have done a wonderful job getting everything setup and ready for all of us to show our projects from over the summer. A huge thank you to you both, I love participating in these hops, they keep me motivated and active and I love being able to share with everyone what I’ve been up to. Note: I’ve been informed by my webhost today Monday the 15th of September, that they are migrating (transferring) the server I am on to a newer server which will mean I will need to change my DNS/IP number at my domain registrar. If you should experience not being able to access this site, it will be because the domain is switching ips to the new server. I will get those numbers updated the moment I notice the migration has taken place. Please come back in a few hours should you experience a problem. I didn’t start on any summer projects until late in the summer, about mid August to early September actually. My main machine was out of commission and off to the shop for just over six weeks this summer, so the only way I could sew was via my embroidery machine, which is always setup to do embroidery even tho it will also do normal sewing. While I am aware that not everyone celebrates the Easter holidays, consider this my gift to you because I treasure this time of year. Spring is in the air, and with it comes a sense of renewal and refreshment of the year. At least I see it that way anyway. Enjoy this pattern I offer you. It comes in a zigzag machine embroidery stitch needing a hoop of at least 6.08 wide, and 9-Inch height. For hand and machine appliquers, this pattern has also been created in a 12-Inch block size for you. Eqers, this pattern is free for you to create in any size you like. Continue reading →

They are not hotlinked but stored on my own host, so as not to take any bandwidth from anyone else. There is also no re-blogging here. All sites are linked directly to the page for the day they participated. At any time, someone can change the link to their page and I won’t know it. I try to check links about once a year. Please contact me if you come across a 404 error page. I will try to get the link fixed quickly. – All links checked January 2014
I have to admit, this one had me a bit stumped, and then a hard drive failure wiped away all my work, I know I keep going on about it, but I’m still upset over losing that drive.. I absolutely love the idea of being able to work with photos, and it’s really nice that EQ has features that allows you to incorporate your photos into quilts you are trying to create.
Heya Everyone, so glad you’ve stopped by today. While I have owned this domain for nearly 12 years, today is my One Year Anniversary of opening my blog. I’m sew excited and what a fun way to be celebrating it. I am participating in the 52 Blocks Quilt Along. I hadn’t realized when I signed up for this Quilt Along that today was my anniversary, but I’m excited that it just happened that way, and what’s ironic about this, is that one year ago today I opened my blog earlier than planned because I’d jumped into an EQ Blog Hop which was for me, probably the turning point of getting me involved back into quilting again so heavily. If you’d like to participate in this quilt along, please stop over at Persimmon Dreams to read all about it. This bunny block was something I created many many years ago and just kinda forgot about it until I was visiting the 52 blocks quilt along. I was wondering what could I do to participate and then I remembered this block from a quilt I’d made for a friend who was having a baby. As usual, Electric Quilt and Bernina’s Designer Plus Software helped me in creating this block for you today. The basket block in this quilt is part of Electric Quilt and is called the Brittany Block in EQ. I do not know if it’s part of the default blocks or addon blocks. I own every single addon for EQ, so I couldn’t tell you if it is or isn’t. Since it’s pretty basic, I’d say it’s probably a default block. So without further ado, lets get on with the making of this block. Continue reading →
