Today is the start of one of my most favorite events on the web today. The Wooly Block Adventure. Ever since I discovered the wonderfulness in working with wool, this is the one event I look forward to all year. I wish it was bigger, that every shop participated, but it’s a small event with 69 shops participating this year.
How Wooly Block works… Every two days, Continue reading
As many of you know, coming on September 4, 2018 just two weeks and a day away is the My Happy Place Row Along. The Row Along itself will be 4 years old, each year it has had a different theme, but the Row Along part of the name has continued to exist. Each year, giveaways from sponsors have been offered and both Northcott and The Fat Quartershop are just a few of the great companies who have given us great products every year of this row along.
I do have some other news at the bottom of this post, so be sure you read the entire post, please…
Yesterday was the day that shops could finally put their patterns and kits up for sale again, or online for sale or download. I’ve taken a bit of time this morning to update my page for the row by row links today and followed up with a few emails to shops that still participate.
The Row By Row Experience itself has also added a new site for showcasing rows that participating shops have added their rows too. This is wonderful because you get to see the rows in full view. I’ve never been a fan of the Facebook pictures because they merge them in with the shop’s info, and their license plate, often making the row picture to small and you can’t see some of those rows very well to know if you like it or now. The new site is called easily enough Row By Row Showcase.
My row by row page is Continue reading
This year’s Wooly Block Adventure brought to you by the same people who bring you the Row By Row Experience, has great new rules and opportunities for online users and I personally couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
You can now download patterns, so be sure you check this page daily or the Facebook Wooly Block page.
The downloads featured are limited it looks like for two days, then Wooly Block will feature 2-4 new shops in the event.
Click the shop’s links to buy the kits. Some of the shops have their pdf download on their sites, so you will have to visit and READ to download. Some shops may ask you to email them to get the free pattern. (I feel sorry for them already. Half Moon Handwerks asks you to email them, I already received my pattern from them, so they are keeping up at least. I wrote at 11:21 am and received it at 1:46 pm.
If you’d like to see pictures of all or most of the shops participating, you can view them here on Facebook. You can see all the pictures for the current event at the top until you many of this year’s logos. then it will start with last years winter event 2016-2017 logos. Following that is the earlier event in 2015-2016.
Don’t forget to look for the Wooly Block license plates also, they are a very cute mini size.
They plan to feature each participating shop Continue reading
Today is a history-making day!!! An eclipse is going to hover over my beautiful part of the world here in Colorado. We should get to see about 90 to 93% of the eclipse, and my sister and my niece Olivia are visiting Idaho Falls today with their NASA approved eclipse glasses. It’s an exciting day for everyone who gets the chance to see this amazing piece of history. At the row by row studio blog, they have a cool tutorial on how to make an eclipse out of one of the Junior Rows.
At the AQPS blog, they also have a free pattern for you… Love both of these patterns, be sure you get yours. At Stash Bandit another free pattern also.
In the world of quilting, Leah Day is celebrating 8 years since she started the Free Motion Quilting Project… Congratulations Leah Day!!! She is offering a sale on her website, it’s worth a look, you might find something you’re looking for.

I am very excited to announce the latest sponsor for The Road Home Row Along starting in just under 3 short weeks now.
OttLite has offered one of their amazing lamps as a giveaway during the event.
I only just purchased my own OttLite a few short months ago, and I see what all the buzz is about now. I’m sure you might remember when I showed you the lighting differences with my Bernie and how adding additional lighting affects your overall display area, it’s the same with their lighting also. It gives you a broader area in which it concentrates the lighting and allows you to see as you should instead of straining to see what you might not be able to see. OttLite are not expensive lamps, they cost less than an ordinary desk lamp does when you consider how many times you probably change a regular light bulb. OttLite lamps Continue reading
