Coming Friday… 12 Days Of!!!

12 Days Of-2018Of the many events, I host each year, this one is probably my favorite. This is my 4th year doing the 12 Days event, I’d like to say it was my 5th, but the first year I really only gave away a few patterns at the first week in December. I’d only had my blog open at that time for about 9 months and had very little activity on it at the time. It wasn’t until the following year when I’d participated in many blog hops that I got the idea to do a 12-day event. I can promise you this, it is fun and at the same time by the time it’s almost done with, I’m ready for it to be over. This year will not be any different, but this year also I’m very happy about the theme I’ve chosen for this years 12-Days event. I’ve done trees as a theme (that was my first one), I’ve done ornaments and figures for a combined wallhanging Janeen and I did the second year, last year I did my favorite things for Christmas as a theme. This year I’ve chosen something else that is a favorite of mine, but it doesn’t necessarily have a Christmas theme to it. It goes with Christmas, but it’s not Christmas oriented. 🙂

Can you guess what my theme is this year? I’ve left plenty of clues, maybe you can figure it out before Friday starts and I’d love to hear what you think the theme is.. Please leave me a comment, if you guess it, I’ll answer you back in email… if not I guess you’ll wait till Friday to figure it out. 🙂

12-Days 2014 is the first event I ever held on my blog as an event that was exclusive to my blog, so it will always hold that magical place in my heart.

Other blogs do special things at this time of the year also, I will note them in this post and each day of the event also.

This post is mainly posted to let you know how it works. If you’re new to my blog it will be important for you to read this post. I’ll try to make this as quick as possible for a post, there really aren’t a lot of “rules” but the most important thing to know is the download times. 12-Days is a 24-hour free download event. However, it’s not a regular time schedule. I’m fairly sure by now that you know my posts don’t usually happen at midnight and I’m not about to start changing that for this event either. When my post goes live, the pattern is available for download at that time, it is free until the next day’s post goes live. Sometimes it may be that it’s available for 24 hours, sometimes 30 hours, it just depends on when my post goes live. However, if I post the next day before the previous days 24 hour period expires, I will leave the download until the 24 hours expires.

I will make every effort, however, to be posted each day by 6 am mst.

I do not always get each post noted that the download has expired, but I do try to remember that it’s been expired. I always remove the download tho, the pattern will simply just no longer be available to be downloaded. When I do get it changed, the link will take you to my Craftsy shop instead where you will find the pattern to purchase.

All downloads are on Payhip. – Payhip doesn’t like mobile downloads, so be prepared to send it to your email, Dropbox, google drive, or any other cloud service you may use if you are using a mobile device to download with. All payhip items are sent an email with the download link even tho you can download right after the purchase in your browser. If you’re on a mobile phone tho, wait until your on a device that you can use later. I do not own any mobile devices, so I do not know how to send it to your email, or a cloud service, I’m sure there are youtube videos or how to’s on the web to help you with this.

All downloads must happen tho within the 24 hour period. If you write me that you missed the download, or had a mobile device, your email will be ignored. Every year, I get tons of email for this issue alone and this year I’m choosing to ignore those emails. They will go unanswered.

I am in Colorado, which is mountain standard time. mst in other words, so if you are in New York, that’s a two hour time difference ahead of my time.

Each day of this event is Monday thru Friday. I will not be posting on weekends and the patterns released on Fridays will not be available thru the weekend. I’m sorry weekenders, I usually try to be really good about this, however, I think it’s unfair to those who do visit daily to get the pattern, so I will not be continuing the free pattern on Fridays thru the weekends this year.

Other Events Happening

Helen Godden
Advent CalendarHelen Godden Advent CalendarStarts December 01, until December 23
She will present us with a different FMQ pattern above each day via video. I believe this may be via her Facebook page so if you’re not an FB user, you should still be able to access the videos. I don’t know that for sure, but I’m taking a guess because she doesn’t have a group for her followers, she has groups that are meant mainly for people who pay for her botm projects. If you don’t know who Helen is, have a look at her website gallery. Helen’s Quirky Collection botm from 2017 is one of only three botm’s I’ve ever paid for, I absolutely adore Helen, she’s got a fun personality and is a really talented and creative lady.
