In the end tho, Halloween is looking like a fun holiday this year with all the creativity we’ve already seen and those today will make it no different.

As to my project for this blog hop. I had started making placemats and I wanted something new to decorate my table for the holiday, but I got sidetracked with the row along, my accident, and sadly life…. Thus my project isn’t done, but I’ll show you the picture of what I was doing and release the patterns for it next week.

Fall-Gnomes-medium

As you know I love gnomes, so this year I decided instead of Halloween itself I’d make a set for Fall.
A girl and boy gnome each as their own placemat.

I hope I get to show them to you soon, but until I can sit at a sewing machine for any length of time I’m kinda stuck with not being able to stitch them all at once. Right now I can last about 10 minutes or so at the machine and then have to go rest. Too much leaning over, I think.

I hope you have a great day visiting the other blogs and next week is the start of From The Heart. Since I’m doing a simple tutorial for that hop you’ll see a fun project that you can make easily in about 10 minutes or less depending on how fast you sew.

  1. Same here Josephina. It is still 10/22. I do appreciate all Marian does. She is talented and works hard to do what she does. I just didn’t get it this year is all.

    1. When I host a bloghop, I normally offer a free pattern. However, the rule is that the download is for 24 hours only. The hours are from the time the post goes live to when the next post goes live, traditionally 12am to 11:59pm. On the last day of a hop, you have between 6 and 9 hours after the deadline to get it downloaded because I will be waiting to wake up before I remove the free pattern. I’m sorry if you missed it, but the idea is to have you visit on the day of the post, not the day after to get the free pattern.

  2. Your pattern is super cute. Thank you for coordinating the blog hop and providing free patterns daily.

Note that I just got your day 3 email today, 10/22 at 11:59am. So, upon clicking on the cute witch pattern it costs $1000. I knew there’s a mistake so I went to your Payhip site and it says the free pattern expires 10/22. Pattern is $6.

Not sure if gmail is slow in sending me my email but I am a tad disappointed nonetheless. I have been looking forward to your free patterns. I have the two first free patterns already.

Again, thank you for your efforts.

After the pattern expires, it is marked at $1000.00 to thwart it being sold. Yes, I could delete it, but I keep the free patterns on my cart until I do my taxes because free patterns are a loss to my business.

  3. Your block is so doggone cute, but there must be a mistake in the cost of purchasing it? When I went to go get it, it says it’s $1,000.00!?! WHOA…lol… that’s truly gotta be a mistake? I’ll wait until that’s fixed, haha…

    1. It is not a mistake. You were not here in the allotted time slot to download the pattern. When I host a blog hop, I normally offer a free pattern. 1. Ahhhh… now I understand! I was thinking it was supposed to be $10.00 and an extra zero got placed on there by mistake. Since I’ve only recently started following your blog and all, I didn’t realize the $1,000.00 amount was there for a reason. Thank you for explaining! 🙂

  4. Good morning Marian,
Sometimes life can be hectic and unpredictable. For me that has been this week, so it was this morning before I was able to sit and visit with the bloggers of the Hallowe’en Hop. It was a fun visit, and I’m very thankful for you and your willingness to organize these events. Your pattern gift to us is sweet, and entirely doable. Thank you.
I hope sometime to be able to participate in another hop with your group. Sending you hugs
    Lynn

  5. Thank you for another fun blog hop. And thank you for the cute pumpkin pattern. I hope you can soon be sewing for longer periods.

  6. The Witchie Pumpkin is so cute, thank you. Lots of great blog postings on Halloween projects. I know it’s a lot of work to organize these hops; thank you for your skills, too, for making the hops lots of fun for us.

  7. Thanks for hosting and for the fun little patterns along the way. There is lots of fun to be had with all the inspiration we saw this week.

  8. Your pumpkin gnomes are really darling! I’ve enjoyed your free patterns each of the days of the hop. Thanks so much for those *and* for putting together such a fun blog hop! Happy Halloween! 🙂

  9. Thank you for hosting this. This has been such a fun and inspirational hop. I am not a huge Halloween fan but I do love cute things for Halloween. Thank you so much for your patterns. They are adorable. Thanks to all the ladies who have made this such a fun hop. Hope that you are feeling better soon.

  10. Thanks for the blog hop! I have enjoyed it and gotten some ideas along the way. Thanks for the free blocks, they are cute. I’m looking forward to seeing you completed gnomes.
