I’m so not a fan of not announcing hops that are supposed to take place without any advance notice, but this one has no advance notice to it other than the few mentions I’ve made on my blog about it. Until this morning I didn’t even realize a logo had been made for it. I should have just gone ahead and made my own because to me a post without any pictures at all is boring, boring and more boring. Who wants to read it without something that entices you to read it. Not me. I like pictures. 🙂 So that’s my little rant… a blog hop needs a logo.
This blog hop is for past Island Batik Ambassadors who want to “use up”their leftover fabrics. I joined mainly because I am doing an IB project a month without being an Ambassador this year and will consider this my monthly project. The reality is I have so much IB fabric that there is no way I could possibly use it all up, even with what they sent me last year, I still won’t use it all up. I can’t imagine many Ambassadors could say that I think we all have a lot of IB fabric that we’ve probably purchased also. That’s the thing with batiks tho and I’ve said it often enough, I wish there was a way to tell which company made which batik like we see with our normal cotton fabrics. For me, I either try writing on the end of the fabric which company it was, or I use label paper if the fabric is too dark. I’ve also been known to just put them in bins specifically for the company that makes them. That’s how all my IB fabrics are stored actually. 🙂
Today is the start of this hop, with mainly one or two blogs being featured each day. It runs this entire week thru Sunday, April 22, 2018.
Here is the schedule:
Monday, April 16, 2018
| Lemon Tree Snippets |
Sunday, April 22, 2018
| For Quilts Sake |
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s projects, it should be fun to see how they used up all those little scraps.
Have A Great Day!!
I am an affiliate of the above companies when you click one of these links and purchase something, I earn a little bit of a commission with it. I use this money to help maintain my website and offer my free patterns to you. Every little bit helps, thank you so much for clicking and for your support. I don’t just offer up these brands to you I actually use their products and shop at these places. I would never partner with someone whose products I didn’t use.
Please remember it takes 2 minutes to comment, please say Thank You, whether you downloaded a free pattern, read a tutorial, or just learned something new. It takes time for people to write a post, take pictures, make a project or even write a pattern.
Let them know you appreciate it.
If your comment doesn’t show up after you post it, it’s most likely gone to the spam folder. I will see it and approve it, unfortunately, it just means something about your email address caught my spam filter’s eye.
