This is a fun week with lots of surprises coming… Not just for this blog, but for the Small, Smaller, Smallest Blog Hop, which is starting today over at Just Let Me Quilt. My friend Carol has started doing hops this year and I couldn’t be happier. Blog Hops are how my blog got started, at the time I had been thinking about changing my domain from a web developer domain into a blog. We had just moved to a new home in Italy, and I decided it was time to get back into quilting. Next month, that will be five years ago that I started this blog. It is hard to believe that I’ve kept on doing this for all these years… each year has just been more fun than the previous year.
This week I will also release the cupcake of the month, a few new patterns, two new tutorials, and my day for the hop is Thursday. I’m quite excited about this project because it has been totally designed as a project by me. So I am patiently waiting for my day to arrive on the hop.
Here is the schedule for the hop this week…

Craftsy is offering a really great deal on viewing all the classes you can for two whole weeks.
2 for $1 – Try Craftsy Unlimited 2 Weeks For Just $1
Link Corrected (It was incorrect for all affiliates, not just me).
This is a great deal. If you have classes for instance in your wishlist that you’ve been thinking about purchasing, this is a great time to watch them too see if it’s worth it.
Another reason, some teachers, you know right off the bat if you’re going to buy the class, because you know the class is going to be great. Other times it may be a new teacher and you are not so sure so this is a good time to find out if you’re going to like their style of teaching or not watch the class and see if its worth a purchase.
Another reason, if your new to Craftsy or have never purchased a single class, this is a great way to watch a few and see if buying the unlimited classes is worth it for you. To me, it’s not really worth it, I own way too many classes and they do not produce new ones fast enough anymore for me to really warrant the cost, I’d rather just purchase the classes I like and want in my arsenal to refer back to. As a for instance, I have very little use for the classes on pre-cuts because I don’t even buy pre-cuts don’t own a single pre-cut pack and consequently, I don’t see the need to buy any of those classes. However, the 1.00 offer will entice me to watch the classes I’m wavering on and decide once and for all if I will purchase them. I did that a year and a half ago when they had an offer like this for 30-days. It really helped me make my mind up on the 30 or so classes that were in my wishlist at the time. Of those, I purchased 28 over time and the other 2 were removed from my wishlist. I like taking classes, I’m a huge fan of youtube for the same reason, I like learning so I don’t have a problem paying for something I’ll always have access to and can refer to it when I need it.
Because I am a Craftsy affiliate, I don’t earn anything on the link unless you purchase the extended membership, so I encourage you of all the affiliates who will have this offer on their blogs, click one of them and watch a few classes as you have time over the next few weeks. Treat yourself, 1.00 is nothing in comparison to what it will cost if you didn’t. 🙂
I am an affiliate of the above companies when you click one of these links and purchase something, I earn a little bit of a commission with it. I use this money to help maintain my website and offer my free patterns to you. Every little bit helps, thank you so much for clicking and for your support. I don’t just offer up these brands to you I actually use their products and shop at these places. I would never partner with someone whose products I didn’t use.
Please remember it takes 2 minutes to comment, please say Thank You, whether you downloaded a free pattern, read a tutorial, or just learned something new. It takes time for people to write a post, take pictures, make a project or even write a pattern.
Let them know you appreciate it.
If your comment doesn’t show up after you post it, it’s most likely gone to the spam folder. I will see it and approve it, unfortunately, it just means something about your email address caught my spam filter’s eye.
