My Happy Place Row Along – Barbara Dieges, & Kimberbell Giveaways…

My Happy Place RAL 2018Just as quilters who use bloggers have their headaches sometimes with Blogger, WordPress users experience the same issues. WordPress decides to make a change that is so massive in its change it can and most likely will affect your entire site. Normally because of some plugins I use, my site runs a bit slow, but recently, WordPress has decided to change the editor system that we use to create our posts in. Suffice it to say, I am old and set in my ways and I do not like it… Heck, I didn’t even survive 2 minutes trying it out I found it so confusing. So I went back to my old editor not really realizing that still having that newish editor that I’m sure they will force upon us at some point was slowing my site down to a turtle’s crawl. I’ve spent days now trying to figure out why the site was so slow and it turned out that not only the editor but one of the older galleries I had installed was making it creep along also. The site is faster now, but still not as fast as what I’d like so I’m working to try and find the issues involved. So I do apologize for any delays you may have experienced in loading pages.

Today I am featuring the giveaways from Barbara Dieges and Kimberbell patterns. These will be given away during the My Happy Place Row Along next month and in October.

I use this money to help maintain my website and offer my free patterns to you. Every little bit helps, thank you so much for clicking and for your support. I don’t just offer up these brands to you I actually use their products and shop at these places. I would never partner with someone whose products I didn’t use.

Please remember it takes 2 minutes to comment, please say Thank You, whether you downloaded a free pattern, read a tutorial, or just learned something new.  It takes time for people to write a post, take pictures, make a project or even write a pattern.
Let them know you appreciate it.

  1. I just love all you share and do. Your patterns are soooooo cute and they make me think outside the box when I am creating new patterns too.

  2. Marian … You do so much and are so appreciated here in my little world. I’m so looking forward to “My Happy Place.” I have found my little Eden on the coast in Oregon the past few months. My family near by, Quilting, the Ocean, and my blogging friends … Life is Good (at 81).

  3. How exciting these prizes are! Thank you so much for getting them on board. As for WordPress, I think that’s the same changes they practiced on the free blog sites the last couple of years. I’m still using the old dashboard, and hoping they don’t ever force the change, because I feel like it gives less control. Everything seems to move that way more and more, and I might go to something different at some point.

  4. Thanks for the info, Marian! I have started using Gutenberg for my posts and other than not knowing how to change a few things I would like, I have found it fairly easy to use. I still have Divi Builder as well, but so far, I’m enjoying Gutenberg! Sorry you are having issues with it. Since this will be forced upon us, I figured I may as well go ahead and try to use it ahead of time! LOL

  5. Computers are WONDERFUL, when they work…
I understand the frustrations, updates make me crazy. It takes me forever to learn something new.
    Thanks for all you do💚💚💚
