Starting next Monday, October 22, 2018 is the annual Halloween hop here at Seams To Be Sew. I’ve done this hop now for the last four years, and have enjoyed every moment of it. It’s the one hop each year that many bloggers look forward to. In the USA in particular, Halloween is the second most popular holiday in the USA next to Christmas for many people. This year’s theme is Peek A Who… a fun little theme for the peekers who exist beyond the walls…
I have a few giveaways from great sponsors like Timeless Treasures and The Fat Quartershop for you with this hop and my traditional pattern a day giveaway. It means that you’ll have to stop by this blog each day to get the pattern. It’s only available free for 24 hours only, so if you want it, you have to stop by and get it on the day it’s offered. It works in the same way that 12 Days does coming at the end of November thru Dec 17, 2018.
Calibre Art is also doing a sale of 50% off there mats during this week for us. If you’ve purchased one of these mats in the past, you already know how wonderful they are. Each day, I’ll offer the ability to get a coupon for 5 lucky people to purchase their mats at 50% off. You’ll have until November 1, 2018, to use the code for your mat purchases. This offer is only available at Seams To Be Sew, and is for US residents only because Amazon does not ship these mats outside of the USA.
The schedule and prizes being offered during the hop are just a click away, click the Continue Reading link to see what’s being given away and who are participating in the Peek A Who hop…

Calibre Art Mats
If you’ve never seen or heard about these mats, check them out at Amazon.
24×36
18×24
18×18 Rotating
14×14 Rotating
8×8 Rotating
These mats are wonderful. I love every one of mine. I keep the 8×8 by my sewing machine, using it for cuts between strip piecing threads. I’ve used the rotating mats for cutting blocks that needed to be squared up, and the beauty of these mats is they are double sided with very accurate lines for cutting with. The mats actually heal themselves beautifully. I’ve owned my original mat for over three years now and it’s just as good today as it was when I first bought it. I use to replace mats about once a year, but I haven’t had to replace a mat since I switched to Calibre Arts mats. I just can’t say enough good things about them. I don’t have even one bad thing to say about them, they are just amazing.
Other Notes,
I expect to release the TTNBC blocks sometime after the hop next week.
Sue and Sam blocks will be released again in November and will follow into the 2019 year as a block of the month.
