Quilt Block Mania Month 1 is here…

Quilt Block Mania logoQuilt Block Mania starts today and is the idea of Carolina Moore. She belongs to a design group I’m in on Facebook and thought it would be fun to create a theme each month and then release that block free to our quilting friends.

The theme for July is Summer Fun. All blocks are 12-inches, and they fit in a certain color scheme. I tried, but I know me and I still went into deeper colors versus light colors.

The above are the colors we had to try and keep our blocks to. While mine aren’t exactly there, I think they match up nicely. This month I’ve made for you one of my favorite things to have during the summer and that’s a tropical drink…

The above block is a 12-inch block and you can download it by clicking the image.
I also took and expanded this pattern as I wanted to show what you could possibly do with it.

Coconut CocktailIsn’t that just fun… I imagine myself on the beach just sipping away and enjoying the fun on a sunny day.
It just doesn’t get better than that.

You can purchase this version of the pattern in my shop here.
When you add the free pattern to your cart today you can also get 20% off by purchasing the full pattern.

This is an 18-inch block that will fit your 12-inch block into it perfectly. The full pattern also comes with SVG Cutting files, hand embroidery, and enhanced fabric guides that you don’t see in my free patterns.

Both patterns inspired by artwork from Freepik.
This pattern was created in Electric Quilt.

I have not yet decided on whether to keep the free pattern free forever so please note that I’ll do so for at least the next 30 days, then decide which way to go with it.

Would you like to know when I release new patterns? I’m not a newsletter person, personally I don’t want all the extra emails from the 1000’s of newsletters I could be signed up for, so I prefer to use a Facebook group. Feel free to join me there to find out when I release new patterns. I know not everyone uses Facebook, so feel free to follow me on the other sources you see on my sidebar.

Would you like to see the other 700 patterns I’ve created in my shop… Have a look here.

Show off your Quilt Mania blocks by joining the Facebook group. We’d love to see what you do with them.
