Quilt Qwazy Queens Winners and Thoughts…

Quilt-Qwazy-Queens-BH-2-m1-240x300

Well it came to an end as quickly as it got here.. I’ve always wanted to celebrate International Quilting Day, and on my blog for the last almost 3 years I just seem to have passed it by. It’s not a actual holiday, so no one is getting the day off, or taking a vacation day to celebrate it, but it is just one of those days that comes along each year that as a quilter we can have fun and enjoy with.

September is National Sewing Month, and in September, we’ll be bringing you The Road Home Row Along. This will be another really fun Row Along which is basically a Quilt Along, but called Row Along because the emphasis of the hop is rows of a quilt and not a block in the quilt. We are still looking for designers to participate and I hope you’ll consider it if your planning a new quilt down the road.. Making a row is really no different than planning a small wallhanging project.

There was an overwhelming success to this hop, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, I had many comments about how you all enjoyed the stories, and the progression of our history in quilting. It for me was the same. I really enjoyed just reading about everyone’s history, how they got into quilting and to see some of the wonderful projects was amazing.

Thank you to all the bloggers who participated, you made this a very successful hop, people truly enjoyed reading your stories and joining in the joy of quilting with you.

A Huge Thank You to the Sponsors who so willingly donated prizes for this blog hop.
