Sunbonnet Sue and Sam in New Mexico Released….

NM Sue

That’s right Everyone, one of those guessed ones was New Mexico… 🙂

Funny now isn’t it, I bet you’ve heard of this balloon festival they have every year in New Mexico and just didn’t put it together. I know for me when I think of New Mexico it isn’t necessarily of a balloon festival. Instead its of Mexican decor, cactuses, desert, etc… Having driven thru Alburqurque tho, one doesn’t get that impression either since it’s a city with big tall buildings, modern in design. To this day one of my favorite drive-thru cities as I was quite fascinated by the architecture of it.

Today’s free pattern is Sue in New Mexico.

I’ve been down the last few days with a touch of flu… it’s not covid, so please don’t worry, it’s just a little flubug… I’ve plenty of doctors and physical therapists telling me so… so it’s been a nice little break this week after all from the rigors of physical therapy each day.

From here on in all linkable images will take you to the product page.
Let’s get right to it… I want to get this post done so I can go back to bed :p

  1. Wonderful, I can’t believe I actually guessed right, woohoo. Love both of them. I’m a native New Mexican do delighted to see these!
    Thank you

  2. Thank you for the New Mexico block, I have been waiting for this one as I am a native New Mexican. The balloon fiesta is very beautiful, a few years ago one of the balloons and crew landed in my daughter’s backyard, the crew was so friendly, they even put my two little grandkids on the balloon (on the ground) as it was coming down and let us take pictures. Sometimes I think we take for granted just how beautiful all the balloon’s are with the mountains in the background. Get well from your flu quickly!

  3. Thank you for New Mexico Sue. I’ve never been there but I have seen pictures in Magazines and TV about the big event when so many balloons go into the very early skies. Have you been there? I know you’ve already had Sam created but in one of the Southwest blocks would be great to have Native Americans since that is where so many were forced to move from NC. You may have already done this,…I just have to go back through all the blocks you so kindly shared with us. Right now I’m fighting a major head cold here in FL. Hope you feel better.

  4. Just when I thought I was all caught up!. Love balloons so Sue will be fun to work on. Rest up so you will feel better soon.

  5. I do hope you feel better soon. No I have never heard of the balloon festival there. That sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Hmmm I am going to guess Alaska for next time. Smile

  6. Good Morning Marian. I hope you are feeling better .The strange weather everyone has been having is enough to make people sick. The temps and the wind have been really horrible here. I am looking forward to Spring. Take care!
(Thanks so much for the cute pattern.

  7. Thank you so much for yet another generous, beautiful pattern! Take care of yourself there, the flu can be horrible all on its own…our weather changes are huge up here and everyone’s catching it…rest up, be kind to yourself!

  8. Hi Marian. I’m sorry you have the flu. I hope you are well soon. Sue comes up as a purchase for me. She’s really cute!! Thank you.
