Welcome To my 2016 Block of the Month. As most of you know, I’ve dedicated this BOTM to the Olympics for 2016, and the first release is Sue In Brazil.
I am much later posting today than I had planned to be, but I made it at the very least even before midnight my time, I’m patting myself on the back.. LOL
So Come on in for the download link(s) (yes, there are a few) and lets get started making Sunbonnet Sue’s.
First, remember, for each block you finish and post to the Flickr group, you’ll get one of the blocks that will go up for sale free. If you end up finishing the 24 released in 2016, you will get them all free. It’s a great way to get a “missed” block also.
Next, the winning layout was Layout 5.
I’ve made a layout file for you with three of the layouts in it.
You can download it by clicking the image below.
It also includes some info about the Trip Around The World layout, but not a lot of info.
Layouts 1 and 2 are essentially the same layout, but the sides, tops and bottoms are what makes them different.
Layout three is also basically the same as the other two, but it doesn’t include the medallion area, although you could include it, it also has different sides and tops and bottoms.
Everything is included for you to make your very own.
The layout Is free, for all of 2016, so be sure you get it sometime this year. 🙂
Click the image to purchase the Sunbonnet Sue Pattern with the machine embroidery and cutting files.
I made a change to the sizings. I will release 9×9 and 12×12 blocks, thus those of you wanting your Sue and Sam to fit inside the black square, you can do this with the 9×9 block.
Don’t Forget To Vote For February’s Release
Mexico or France
This poll ends January 17, 2016
Whichever one doesn’t win, it will automatically go up for sale.
I made a small wallhanging you can see of how Sue and Sam can look in your quilt.

Adorable! Oodles of pieces, hope I don’t get lost! I might change up the flower centers, okay?
Thanks for the layout pattern and the Sue. She’s as cute as can be! My friend, Candi, is really excited about Ireland. (Ha, ha, put that comment in the wrong place!)
