Today is the last day of 12 Days of Snow… it’s been a bit of adventure with my internet connection being the way it has been, but in all, I have enjoyed this event this year far more than I have in past years. I wish to thank all of you who have visited my blog over the last 19 days and throughout the year. The reason I do this event is that it gives me a way to thank you for visiting me all year long. I like to give back and while this year has had a lot of ups and downs with my health during the summer, the internet woes with this event, the events I hold on my blog are always a way for me to connect with all of you. I truly appreciate that you visit my blog, and get to know me, as I try to get to know all of you thru your comments and such. When you visit quietly it doesn’t give me a chance to get to know you, but your comments even when it’s a simple thank you allow me to know you just even by your name, and I am someone who recognizes names over and over again. Thank you all for your patience during this event. I know you visited to find the next days post and were disappointed when it wasn’t here, but I will always get them posted even if I am very very late.
When I started this event I told you there were three animals, today is the last animal. I toyed with this pattern because I had so many ideas for 12 Days of Snow and it was really hard to choose which patterns to feature for this event, in the end, I went with the one I liked the best and will release the others down the road. I hope you will like Mama and Baby Polar Bears.
The link to the tutorial has been fixed.
There was simply nothing I could do last Friday. Xfinity was here in the neighborhood all day, then part of Saturday and back again today. My connection is still spotty. Because I noted I would also do a tutorial, I’ve decided to split the posts up, so that the tutorial has it’s own page. It is linked inside the post. It is image intensive, so I would prefer to keep it separate for future visitors.
Today’s Free pattern is a Continuous Line Snowflake and the tutorial will show you how to create snowflakes out of fabric without a pattern, a different technique for snowflakes, but still fun and very very quick to create.
I love doing Continuous Line designs, they are fun and still give me the look I like to quilts. It’s fun to see the “object” come to life. I love feathers and such, but sometimes I like something like Christmas items, or Winter, Halloween, and snowflakes.
NOTE: My internet has been down since Thursday night. As you might have noticed I didn’t get Friday. I will post it Monday, December 17, 2018 with the last pattern on Tuesday.
Today is the last of the snowmen… Tomorrow I will be doing a snowflake, but I will also be featuring a fun tutorial for creating your own.
Today’s snowman is very simple, but oh so cute. It is simply the face of a snowman. So it’s quite like I said.. simple.
I’m also introducing another pattern, it’s become somewhat of a tradition for me to do for the last three years.
Let’s get inside the post and see what’s happening today.
I am finding it hard to believe that the time is passing so quickly. Only 4 more days to go and we are finished with 12 Days for 2018.
I am glad you are enjoying the Snowmen this week. I’ve had fun creating them over the last six weeks prior to this event. Today I can’t blame my connection for lateness, I admit I was doing some final touchups on this pattern.
The pattern today is not square, it is rectangular and the free version comes in the 9×12-inch size. The purchased pattern comes in the additional sizes of 12×15 and 15×20. I couldn’t resist making this one just a bit larger, I really love this pattern. I hope he to will Melt Your heart.
Today’s cute Snowman is from the wonderful artwork of Graphics and Graphics. Gabry is a talented artist who no longer produces artwork. It’s sad because she is so very talented. She lives in Italy and I had the privilege of getting to know her when we lived there. A lot of her artwork has appeared on my blog over the years, the Little Treasures BOTM was based on her artwork a few years ago and the Snowman featured last year during 12 Days was also part of her artwork. On Facebook, I use her artwork in my header, and on every pdf of my patterns, my logo is her artwork. As you can tell I truly love her artwork, no other artist with the possible exception of Clipartopolis ranks as high with me.
I am happy most of you found yesterdays pattern with no problems. While I always like to add the words Click the Image to Download the pattern, I am glad you found it without the words there.
This week, I will be featuring what is probably the number 1 thing that people think of when they think of Snow… and that is Snowmen. We’ll have 4 days this week of Snowmen. We’ll also have 1 day of Snowflakes and that day will also feature a fun tutorial also.
I am still experiencing internet connection issues, but here I am at 2 am writing this post to get it out for the day.
I wish there was a way to get people to read my posts. Those of you who do, a HUGE Thank You for doing so. Those who just come to get the free pattern it is frustrating to me to receive emails because you didn’t get the download in time. So I’m going to do something I never do.
So yesterday, I told you in my post that I had a companion block for the Hot Chocolate pattern. Obviously your thinking it goes with hot chocolate and to me it does. I feel you can’t go on a sleigh ride without a nice good thermos full of Hot Chocolate to help keep you warm under that blanket that’s probably covering your knees. Perhaps you have a “partner” alongside you with his or her arms wrapped around you, for me, it was my hubby, that is who I have had my sleigh ride with and it was one of the most enjoyable things we’ve ever done together.
So my pattern today is a “sleigh ride”. Continue reading
