I am so so sorry… my internet has been down long before I even got up this morning to write the post and get the patterns uploaded. I have no idea what time it went down, but the cable guy was outside of the neighbor’s house all day I gather trying to get it fixed. I finally have internet again, so I am getting these up very quickly now.
Today’s pattern is a lovely hot cup of cocoa with a cinnamon stick. Who doesn’t love hot cocoa in the wintertime let alone at Christmas?
Please note, because of this being late, this pattern will be available through 8:30 pm mst December 5, 2019. Let’s get straight to it… Day 04 will still go up on time if I have internet tomorrow morning. Continue reading
Hi Everyone, I’m so happy you liked the Unicorn pattern yesterday. I liked the whole series and it was really difficult to decide which of the patterns to offer as a free pattern, but I went with the Unicorn because I’ve never created a unicorn pattern before and thought you might like the change, thus the reason. prior to that, it was going to be the doggy, but at the last moment, I went with the unicorn.
To those of you who took the time to comment, THANK YOU!!! Hearing your thoughts and such is so nice. Please know that I answer questions and such that are commented on via email because I want you to see a response quickly. If you asked a question, please look for my yahoo.com email with the same title as the post in it. Check your spam folders also. I answer as quickly as possible. I answered several questions yesterday but received no reply on whether the issue was resolved.
Today’s pattern is the snowman pattern I mentioned yesterday. I hope you enjoy this cute pattern.
This is the event that I look forward to each year all year long. Yes, I love the row along, but 12 Days is an event that I do by myself on my own blog each year. No one else is involved. Like the Row Along this year, this is my 5th year of doing this 12 Days event. Each year it always starts on a different date, but I try to get it started near the first of December. It just happens that the first was on a Sunday this year and I do not like to post on weekends as most of you already know. I only do it when I feel it’s necessary, but rarely ever on a Sunday.
Many of you have been with me these last 5 years so you already know how this event works. However, if your new to my blog and this event, while I try to keep rules and guidelines to a minimum, there, unfortunately, has to be some. Please see the bottom of this post for those guidelines. The biggest one is All Downloads expire within 24 hours or the next post-release each day.
While I’m later than I wanted to be this morning, I needed to fix some issues on my blog. I’ve been trying to find a problem that I’m having with images currently with uploading them. This has been very annoying of late and I realized I really needed to fix it before I started this event today. So I spent the better part of the night trying to figure out which plugin was causing my issues. It is better right now, but the problem is not totally resolved, unfortunately.
Patterns this year include some pieced blocks, some continuous line blocks, mostly applique, and of course my traditional nativity, and snowman block.
Now, to the first free pattern of this event. This is part of a set of patterns, cute little toppers that give you a face, but the background of the face is the same as the background you choose for your block. It’s quite fun to play with the colors for this and you can net some amazing results from them. Continue reading
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you might visit on a semi-regular basis. A huge Thank You for that. I appreciate all of you.
As you know we are about three weeks now before the row along starts and lots of things are happening behind the scenes here at Seams To Be Sew. Over the last few days, I have mainly been working on my blog to bring you a special treat come the start of the row along. After all, it’s 5 years of row alongs in the making and quite frankly I thought it might be fun to do something a little special for it.
I’ll be posting soon also about the great giveaways our sponsors for Once Upon A Story are giving away during the 5 year Row Along celebration, there are some wonderful prizes coming your way. I know many of you are looking forward to the row along this year.
I will also be posting all the designers who are participating this year in the coming weeks.
Today is the last day of 12 Days of Snow… it’s been a bit of adventure with my internet connection being the way it has been, but in all, I have enjoyed this event this year far more than I have in past years. I wish to thank all of you who have visited my blog over the last 19 days and throughout the year. The reason I do this event is that it gives me a way to thank you for visiting me all year long. I like to give back and while this year has had a lot of ups and downs with my health during the summer, the internet woes with this event, the events I hold on my blog are always a way for me to connect with all of you. I truly appreciate that you visit my blog, and get to know me, as I try to get to know all of you thru your comments and such. When you visit quietly it doesn’t give me a chance to get to know you, but your comments even when it’s a simple thank you allow me to know you just even by your name, and I am someone who recognizes names over and over again. Thank you all for your patience during this event. I know you visited to find the next days post and were disappointed when it wasn’t here, but I will always get them posted even if I am very very late.
When I started this event I told you there were three animals, today is the last animal. I toyed with this pattern because I had so many ideas for 12 Days of Snow and it was really hard to choose which patterns to feature for this event, in the end, I went with the one I liked the best and will release the others down the road. I hope you will like Mama and Baby Polar Bears.
The link to the tutorial has been fixed.
There was simply nothing I could do last Friday. Xfinity was here in the neighborhood all day, then part of Saturday and back again today. My connection is still spotty. Because I noted I would also do a tutorial, I’ve decided to split the posts up, so that the tutorial has it’s own page. It is linked inside the post. It is image intensive, so I would prefer to keep it separate for future visitors.
Today’s Free pattern is a Continuous Line Snowflake and the tutorial will show you how to create snowflakes out of fabric without a pattern, a different technique for snowflakes, but still fun and very very quick to create.
I love doing Continuous Line designs, they are fun and still give me the look I like to quilts. It’s fun to see the “object” come to life. I love feathers and such, but sometimes I like something like Christmas items, or Winter, Halloween, and snowflakes.
NOTE: My internet has been down since Thursday night. As you might have noticed I didn’t get Friday. I will post it Monday, December 17, 2018 with the last pattern on Tuesday.
Today is the last of the snowmen… Tomorrow I will be doing a snowflake, but I will also be featuring a fun tutorial for creating your own.
Today’s snowman is very simple, but oh so cute. It is simply the face of a snowman. So it’s quite like I said.. simple.
I’m also introducing another pattern, it’s become somewhat of a tradition for me to do for the last three years.
Let’s get inside the post and see what’s happening today.
