Unfortunately, today I just don’t have a post, with not having the ability to go upstairs and sew I didn’t finish my project. Its all cut-out and ready to sew, but that’s as far as it got.
Yesterday was reallllllly bad day for us, while I can at least walk now, I can’t get quite make it up the stairs, but I’m so happy, I see it coming at least. But that’s not the bad news… Hail hit Colorado Springs today and our basement got flooded by a broken window that blew out. You remember that basement if you read the post here where I showed all the fabric stored downstairs. Now I remember why that investment in those bins seemed pretty darn expensive at the time, but so worth it in the end. My post is late getting posted because we spent the night starting to move everything into the garage. They can’t take and start working on getting the water out of the carpet until we move everything out of the basement…
I do have a giveaway today, so be sure you pop inside and read the rest of the post…
So, it’s time for a Cupcake, a wonderful lemony cupcake, pink or yellow, which is your preference?
I love lemonade, but I really love the pink lemonade…
Summer is a perfect time for lemonade, but since I’ve just learned how to make a great sweetened tea, I’ve been drinking lots of Iced Tea this summer. I’ll definitely need to break down soon and have me some lemonade tho…
This months cupcake is a free cupcake, the cupcake is on Payhip for you to download easily this month.
Stranger things have happened uploading patterns when I’ve added patterns at Craftsy before. Tonight I was uploading blocks 13 and 14 and when I finished I couldn’t find where block 13 was. It shows up as a pattern in my own account’s pattern page, but it isn’t showing up in the quilt store for my profile or on the quilting page. So I’m not sure what’s happening in that respect. You can add it to your cart, but you can’t check out even. So I’ve also added them to Payhip for you tonight so that if your in a hurry to get started you can go ahead and purchase them. Please remember Payhip does cost a little bit more for patterns because I have two commissions that get paid from Payhip, one to Paypal, and one to Payhip.
Here are the links for this months blocks…
So, in my unofficial block of the month each month, this is the only release so far that I barely made the deadline on. So to the 15th of the month… at least I made it by the day it’s supposed to be released by. Anyway, this month’s cupcake represents the month of July with the patriotic celebration we are about to see next month on the 4th of July.
I’ve just found a Canadian leaf I can use in place of the star, I’ll get it drawn up this evening and add it to this pattern tomorrow on Craftsy for anyone who purchases this pattern.
Today is a fun blog hop hosted by Carla at Creatin In The Sticks. The idea of this hop is that we should have a flower somewhere in our project… It can be in the fabric print itself, the pattern, the quilting, or maybe even a project shaped like a flower.
When it comes to flowers, my favorite flower has always been Lilacs. I absolutely love the smell of lilacs, the pretty purple, pink and white colors I’ve seen them in and I love that they grow in a bush type shape.
I haven’t done lilacs for you today, but I have done another type of flower that’s shape has always fascinated me and they are…
I finally managed to finish these patterns today. They were drawn and ready last week to a degree, but writing the pattern proved a bit more work than I’d anticipated last week along with the few obligations I had in real life to deal with. We all know how that goes.
I’ll be working on the other bear next, but in the meantime thought I’d go ahead and get these released since winners would probably like to have their patterns. The winner’s list is also showing here on the rafflecopter window also, but the following people also won this pattern.
The winners for this pattern are: Ronelle, Nancy D, Tea, Susan E., and Karen T.
I hope you will enjoy this pattern and be sure to send me photos when you create it, I’d love to see your version of the pattern.
Today I am participating in the Wish Upon A Star blog hop hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt.
Her fun idea says our project needs to include a star somewhere in the project.
With this hop, I thought about what I could do carefully, and when you see it, hopefully, you’ll agree, it’d be great for Memorial Day, Father’s Day or even the 4th of July…
I’ll be releasing the pattern tomorrow morning along with another cute little pattern I’ve done for the 4th of July. In the meantime, enjoy my project for today.
