This is the one event each year where I try very hard to cover each blogger/designer with a giveaway from one of the wonderful companies I’ve been priveleged to work with over these last five years on my blog. Some of these companies have participated in every event I’ve offered, while others have participated in every row along. I’m always looking for new companies, but to be honest, I love working with companies whose products I do use. With that said, these are this year’s companies who are sponsoring wonderful giveaways for you to enjoy and use yourself even after the Once Upon A Story Row Along becomes part of history…
Special Thank You’s to Northcott Fabrics for providing up to a yard of fabric to each of the blogger/designers. They have done this every year of the row along with the exception of one and that’s only because I didn’t ask them to. However, they have provided a giveaway for every year of the row along.
Each companies giveaway is described in this post below, go have a look, I know you want to see the goodies coming to you when you enter the giveaways at each designers post on her featured day.
Hi Everyone, I have a fun new project for you today featuring the X-Blocks ruler. When I saw all of the most irresistible patterns that you can make with these rulers I jumped at the chance to participate in this blog hop. I know I’ve said in the past that I dislike specialty rulers, but sometimes a specialty ruler can do more than just one pattern type and I’m always happy to have the options available to me in that respect. With these rulers, I definitely see the potential possibilities with even taking old blocks you may have made that let’s say didn’t piece correctly or are warped to the point you didn’t wish to use them in your project. X-Blocks blows that out of the water and lets you use the rulers to allow you to create something new and fun with those types of blocks.
I Love Love Love Aurifil thread. Never have I experienced a thread that just sews so smoothly thru my machine, whether I’m quilting, piecing or even appliqueing. What I love the most about it, is that they offer it in different weights and so many colors that give such a wonderful contrast to whatever you’re working on.
When I asked them for a giveaway item for Quilt Qwazy Queens 2017, once again, they are there to help sponsor this event. They even let me choose which collection we get to offer for this event. Let me tell you, it was not an easy choice, I spent a good two hours looking over the collections, and narrowing down the field of different designer Continue reading →
It’s been months since I announced the signups for The Road Home Row Along. A little bit of history… Last year, Seams To Be Sew hosted the first Row Along called EQ Seasons. We had 21 bloggers who designed row patterns in Electric Quilt. We shared the pj7 files, and the pdf files during that event. This year, we changed things up a bit and dropped the EQ requirement. We now have 40 bloggers participating in this six-week event which is hosted by Seams To Be Sew and Sew IncrediblyCrazy. Quite a few of the bloggers who participated last year loved the fun so much they came back to do it again this year. If you were here last year for this event, whether a participant, visitor or blogger you already know how much fun it is.
So, let me explain. I am most often asked what is a Row Along. How does it work? What’s required? Continue reading →
Don’t ya just love it when I find a new pattern you can download from shops participating in the Row By Row Experience? This was a cute pattern from last year at Pink Castle Fabrics in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It’s a pretty simple row, and would piece together quickly. I’ve given you the direct page link on my RBR Downloads page along with a 2014 pattern for the Stitchin Post.
Next today, I have several sponsors to add for the giveaways for The Road Home Row Along and Eerie Nights.
