Fun New Happenings, Don’t Let Them Pass You By!!!

SeaBreezeSo little time, so many many things to do.. Do you just feel overwhelmed sometimes by having to keep up ? I know I do.. but the one thing I try to do each month is visit all the sites that do block of the months. Since I’m an applique and paper piecing person, I specifically follow those types of hops, but it’s not that I don’t follow normal pieced BOTMs, or embroidery hops, I’m just more likely to follow an applique and paper piecing botm. I love Blog Hops for the same reason, those bloggers are not necessarily doing BOTMs, but they are giving us great ideas on things we can do with our fabric that we may not have thought of before. This is why I offer them on my own site, I still participate in them and I enjoy seeing what other quilters are up to.

While I was out doing my monthly visits this month, I happened on some new ones to come along and I thought I’d pass them on to you. After I write this post I’ll also update my botm page to so you can find them their also.

Summer Sensations!!! Yum, Yum, Yum!!

Summer Sensations

Summer SensationsWhen asked, most people will tell you that their favorite season of the year is Summer.

Why, I have absolutely no idea, to me, it’s to hot, it’s sticky, it’s just all around misery every day I have to live it. I just don’t like the Summer.

There are a few good things about summer, ice cream, ice cream and more ice cream.. Here in Italy, Pistachio is my favorite flavor, I look forward to it, and pair it with dark chocolate and you have a very yummy taste sensation.

If I were living back in the states, I’d be planting my gardens. A flower garden in the front, because I love the flowers and the smells right outside my window of the beauty of summer. A veggy garden because their is nothing better than the taste of fresh vegetables and fruits right out of the garden.

So, when thinking about Summer Sensations, my thoughts go straight to ice cream and gardens, what about you?

That’s the reason for this new fun blog hop. Yep, I know I’m risking it, doing the unthinkable, but I think people still read blogs during the summer and they will be looking for ideas for August and September to create for themselves.

So, lets get our acts together and create something fun that is your favorite Summer Sensation.

A New QAL… and a Please Resend..

Little Miss Bunny

Little Miss Bunny

Hey Ya’ll, How ya doing? Did you know that Little Bunny Quilts has started a new QAL?

Alison always has the cutest projects, this one is a mystery QAL, it started in March, and is posted once a month. It’s gonna be quick tho as it ends in July. She hasn’t posted block 2 yet, so their is time to still get started.

Next, ya’ll know I’ve been working on a new desktop recently, I am fairly sure I’ve lost some emails that came my way over the last few weeks. If I haven’t answered your email, please resend it. This would include any Flickr requests, if you didn’t get a coupon in your email, I didn’t see the email to send it. Please redo them, and I do apologize for the inconvenience I have caused. Sometimes those things just happen.

Ya’ll have a good day,

Because we have 48 of them, this year, it will run two days per week, for six weeks with a Show and Tell day at the end of the Row Along.

Many of these are bloggers you may recognize from just visiting their blogs, or by following them, perhaps visiting on blog hopping events, and many of these participated in last years EQ Seasons.

So, without further ado, here are the participating bloggers/designers. Designers with no link, do not have a blog. I’ve also listed their Road Home area for you.

Opposites Attract Blog Hop Coming June 01

stbs-Opposites_AttractI like it when people give me ideas for a bloghop… This fun hop comes from an idea that Darlene from QuiltShop Gal gave me earlier in the year.

I hope you will join us for this fun blog hop in which we are going to work with opposite colors that just seem to pop out at us.

I remember back in the 1990’s when I saw my first two-color quilt. It was amazing, like a puzzle in many respects it was filled with wonder and many turns. I don’t recall the pattern now, I stood looking at that quilt as if I was in a maze.
