Last year, this event was also held during the week of Worldwide Quilting Day. It’s a day that brings all of us together in a way that we don’t see every day. Those of us who love quilting, feel a part of something special. Like your birthday, it’s your day, the one you wait for all year long, Worldwide Quilting is like your birthday, for each of us, it’s a day for something we love as a community and we all celebrate it in our own way, even if it just quietly passes by.
Like last year tho, it’s not going to quietly pass by, many quilting sites are celebrating the event, and 18 of us have gotten together to celebrate it with you over the next few days leading up to and after Saturday.
Companies have offered giveaways to help us celebrate and you can win one of the wonderful items they have offered to giveaway over the next 5 days.
Today’s Schedule: Continue reading
I know I am very late today, I never meant to post so very very late. I am sure it’s because I took on to much for today’s post, but I hope you will think it’s worth it. I really appreciate your patience.
I look forward to this event, each year I’ve had my blog opened I’ve done something for Christmas. Last year, I had made a lot of tree patterns, and I had remembered that Janeen also does a 12 days event on her blog. I wrote her and asked if we could do it together and it’s been fun to do it last year and this year. This year, we got together on the same project and came up with the Gingerbread Village for you. This is a fun way to bring people to our blog, and still say Thank You for visiting. We hope you’ll come back for more next year.
So, first, a Huge Huge Huge Thank You for visiting me this year, visiting Janeen, encouraging us to bring you the best of what we have to offer you. It’s a real delight to hear or read a great comment, or see a thank you, or even just wishing us well because you may not have seen us post for awhile. Believe me, if you weren’t visiting, I doubt I’d still be running a blog.
So let’s get to the nitty and the gritty.. Today’s last release… I have for you the Sledding Ginger pattern featured in Block 9 of Janeen‘s pattern. Train 08, Continue reading
Day 11 is here and tomorrow at this time, will be the last day of 12 Days of Christmas. Janeen has block 12 available on her blog. She’s added her blocks to her Craftsy Store for you to pick up if you missed one, I have added days 01 to day 10 on my Craftsy Shop..
I keep apologizing for being late, but ya know, it’s only 9:17am in the morning here in Colorado.. I am not late.. :p~
Today I have for you the Skating Gingerbread Girl and Train Car 07.
Can you believe it, we are already at Day 09 of 12 Days of Christmas, just 3 more days and you’ll have the entire project. I’m sew excited to see what you all come up with and the fabrics that you use to create your own Gingerbread villages.
Today, is the release of Janeen’s block 8, and I am releasing Gingerbread Girl and a Sign Post along with Train Car 06. I hope you enjoy these fun shapes to add to your village.
Day 08 is here of 12 Days of Christmas, and today’s featured block from Janeen’s village is block #11. This is one of my favorite parts of the village, as I’ve always had an intrigue for ice skating. I watch it during the winter on tv, during the Olympics, but I’ve never actually tried ice skating. Of course I know I’d just fall, but what the heck, one of my favorite things during winter is tubing down the hill… How I miss doing that, it was one of the fun things as a child that we’d do in Idaho. I loved going tubing, it was just carefree, and a total rush.
I’d like to thank all of you who gave me some really great ideas for the corner on the train. I now know what I’ll be doing and hopefully will get that released later in the week for you.
And here we are on Day 07 of 12 Days of Christmas, now half way thru this really fun event. Janeen’s village has been such a fun and wonderful way to build a cool Christmas village along with the added shapes and the train, I am certainly enjoying reading your comments and having fun just seeing your reactions.
I keep hearing your planning to make it, I sure hope you will share your photos once you do, I am happy to post them or see them on Facebook in the groups, or even if you post them to the Flickr feed for Seams To Be Sew.
Even Pinterest, if you post them to PInterest or your blog, please drop me a line, I really am interested in seeing your projects.
Good Morning All, I apologize for being late this morning, I was writing the post last night and kept falling asleep at the laptop.. I finally decided to just write Janeen and let her know I’d be late today.
Today’s release marks 3 shapes to download, two of them for Block 02, and the other another part of the Train border. There are two pdf files, so be sure you download both files.
I thought I’d show you two ways the gingerbread can be done… just a slight adjustment makes this look just a little different.
