It seems funny to me that it’s been four years now since I offered what was my first block of the month. They were these very cute dolls from Graphics and Graphics. It was called Little Treasures. I’ll show you some of the patterns in that set in this post for those of you not aware of it…
I’ve often said how much I love seeing the patterns created, part of the reason I do my block of the months the way I do now is so that I can see them be done. I don’t like forcing people to do them, but they are an amazing amount of work and time to create so I went that route so that my time would also pay off in seeing how you created the pattern into fabric and decoration. Hopefully into a beautiful quilt that will be treasured.
This past week, one of my first “followers” someone whose name I immediately recognize as just that, Joyce Carter Continue reading →
Days like today allow you to reflect and wonder, I’ve been thinking about this day for months. Even thinking what design look I’d change my blog to today. It’s my domain’s birthday, and I have no idea what to change my design to. The simple fact is, I think I like this one way to much, it’s me to a T.. I like the sunbonnet header/logo, I like the Crazy Patch background, and I like the design of the site. So for now, I’m not going to change a thing. Perhaps someday, but for now, nope.. It isn’t like I tried, I really looked, tried various displays, and I even made some backgrounds.. would you like to have them?
It hasn’t been easy to post this one… The last one in my 2014 Block of the Month series.
While I may post bonus blocks from time to time, this is the official last one in the series.
No tutorials with this one, although it is probably one of the more difficult blocks to put together, I’ve already covered everything in previous blocks, so if their is something you need to learn you’ll find that info in my Tutorials section.
Today I present you with June’s Little Treasures block and this is probably one of my favorites so far. Simple and fun, but what I love the most about it is the green color I chose for the dress and lollipop. Who wouldn’t love that hat either. I just think it’s such a fun fun block. I hope you will enjoy it to. Oh I know this sample block here doesn’t show the green, this one is shown in pink colors, but when I was making mine, I simply grabbed green fabric, so check out the sample below. 🙂
She is done and ready to go up. I’d like to apologize, I had every intention of having this up on Tuesday morning, but it’s been an endless bed of headaches for the last week or so. My internet was down several days last week, the dog we are looking after this past week chewed up my original sample block and I had to recreate this one over the weekend. Then, after taking all the pictures, for the lesson part of the block, I took the flash card out and it was locked. Has anyone ever had this happen? Did you get it to unlock? If so, please, please, please tell me how you did it.
So, I had to redo all the pictures again on Monday, which meant rewriting the pdf file as well. Soooo she will be up sometime on Friday along with Facebooks next Friday’s Faces series. Again, my sincerest apologies.
