…and then there were three more in my inbox yesterday. Thank you all for writing to me about these botms, Each of them looks wonderful.
Both From My Carolina Quilts and Collection Edith have already started, but it’s not too late to also get started as they both seem to be in the first month. I had never been to Collection Edith’s site before, she came recommended from a follower of this blog and WoW, she has some amazing patterns. I was truly impressed.
Fat Cat Patterns new botm is her 3rd one for this year and it starts March 1, 2019. I have followed her botms for the last six years and love every single one of Sindy’s projects.
These BOTMs have already been added to my 2019 BOTM page.
A small note of concern was in my email yesterday and I would like to address that now…
Hi Everyone, I’ve added a few new block of the months going on around the web to my 2019 list. I thought you might like to know about them, so really quickly, here they are..
I definitely have my favorite block of the months I look foward to each year and so I was happy to see that Buttermilk Basin and Morning Glory‘s botms had started. You might have missed block 1 from Buttermilk Basin, but block 2 is up and if you like working with wool (you can do them in cotton also) you will want to get to their site and get block 2 downloaded.
Reeze always does her main block for each month and then throws in a bonus block, so be sure you are on her newsletter so you get the coupon code for the bonus block.
The cute Gingerbread Village BOTM from Days filled with Joy is just getting started and is an absolutely adorable embroidery BOTM.
And… At Little Rabbit Quilt Co, Rosie is starting a new BOTM on March 01, if you visit her blog you can already tell this is a BOTM you won’t want to miss as she has some very cute patterns. I’m just getting to know Rosie as she has signed up to do the Row Along this year but I can tell she’s gonna be a great friend already.
These BOTMs are also Continue reading
12 Days by Susan E
One of the best things about designing patterns is when you send me a picture of your project. This doesn’t happen very often, so when it does, there isn’t a designer I know of that doesn’t want to show it off. It’s a true compliment when someone recreates one of your patterns.
Last week, Susan E sent me her wallhanging project of the 12 Days of Christmas that Janeen and I offered over the first few weeks in December.
Susan is planning to add the borders also to this project and I hope she will send her project again. I think it’s turned out just amazing and so today I’m sharing it with you so you to can enjoy what she’s done. Susan kindly gave me permission to feature it on my blog post today.
I know I am very late today, I never meant to post so very very late. I am sure it’s because I took on to much for today’s post, but I hope you will think it’s worth it. I really appreciate your patience.
I look forward to this event, each year I’ve had my blog opened I’ve done something for Christmas. Last year, I had made a lot of tree patterns, and I had remembered that Janeen also does a 12 days event on her blog. I wrote her and asked if we could do it together and it’s been fun to do it last year and this year. This year, we got together on the same project and came up with the Gingerbread Village for you. This is a fun way to bring people to our blog, and still say Thank You for visiting. We hope you’ll come back for more next year.
So, first, a Huge Huge Huge Thank You for visiting me this year, visiting Janeen, encouraging us to bring you the best of what we have to offer you. It’s a real delight to hear or read a great comment, or see a thank you, or even just wishing us well because you may not have seen us post for awhile. Believe me, if you weren’t visiting, I doubt I’d still be running a blog.
So let’s get to the nitty and the gritty.. Today’s last release… I have for you the Sledding Ginger pattern featured in Block 9 of Janeen‘s pattern. Train 08, Continue reading
Day 11 is here and tomorrow at this time, will be the last day of 12 Days of Christmas. Janeen has block 12 available on her blog. She’s added her blocks to her Craftsy Store for you to pick up if you missed one, I have added days 01 to day 10 on my Craftsy Shop..
I keep apologizing for being late, but ya know, it’s only 9:17am in the morning here in Colorado.. I am not late.. :p~
Today I have for you the Skating Gingerbread Girl and Train Car 07.
Please note, I had thought I schedule this post to go live at 1am, but it turns out, it was 1pm… To the visitor who emailed me, Thank you for letting me know it wasn’t live..
Day 10 is here full of promise and fun… Today is a big day for patterns, as you can see in the image to the left, this is Block 5 of Janeen’s background block. I’ve added the Gingerbread Tree, The Village Light Pole, and the mailbox.
In my idea of how it should look, the Gingerbread Tree is right between block 5 and 6, it sits on the seam of the blocks stitched together..
Can you believe it, we are already at Day 09 of 12 Days of Christmas, just 3 more days and you’ll have the entire project. I’m sew excited to see what you all come up with and the fabrics that you use to create your own Gingerbread villages.
Today, is the release of Janeen’s block 8, and I am releasing Gingerbread Girl and a Sign Post along with Train Car 06. I hope you enjoy these fun shapes to add to your village.
