Can you believe it, we are three provinces and territories away from finishing up Canada. I expect August to be the last Canadian release with the Northwest Territories in June, Saskatchewan in July, and Newfoundland/Labrador in August. Once they are done, I will release 3 USA patterns each month as I am really trying to finish these up by end of the year or early next year.
Please note… EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY … new Flickr changes are in store. Because of changes coming to Flickr next week, I need to change how the Flickr Reward is done. From here on in, images will go in a gallery on this blog. Images will need to be emailed to me, whether you upload them via the reward form, or send them individually. You can still upload to Flickr, but groups at Flickr are changing where each person can only have a total of 30 images per group. This will not work in regards to the USA Sue/Sam group, so it needs to change. However, I am making this change to all Flickr Rewards on my site, including Twas The Night. All pages in regards to the Flickr Reward will change to reflect this change. I do not use a cell phone, so am unable to use Instagram instead of the reward feature. Thus, I’ve chosen to just place them on my blog. I like this idea better anyway, I think it will be easier for you to do each time.
Free patterns this month are Sam In British Columbia, Sam In Pennsylvania, and Sue In Nevada.
I can’t believe it, but I managed to finish them and get them all uploaded in time and now I still have time to write this post today and release Sue and Sam In Iowa, New York, and New Brunswick… I am happy, happy, happy… I love it when I can actually do it when I say I will get it done, ya’ll know that doesn’t happen often with me. 🙂
I even had time to make that image you see to the left… Fun Eh!! hehehe
Call me crazy, I’m just happy to get these released.

Well, they zoomed on over from Delaware to Ontario pretty quickly didn’t they? Hehehe…
Once again Sam is the free block for Ontario, I love this block, and how realistic it appears to be sawing the tree.
Sue is the Flickr reward block.
Sam will be free until January 25, the Flickr turn in date is February 11, 2018.
So, let’s get to the download…
Sue and Sam of Delaware have been released, Tomorrow, I’ll be releasing Ontario for Canadians waiting for that release.
This one is not an easy pattern, or at least I didn’t think so. It does require some work on the tree blossoms for Sue, which is btw, the free pattern for this release.
A recommended solution for the small leafy parts of the tree from my tester is that you take and print or mark your fabric for those for the entire embroidery layout, and then use your machine to stitch over the leafs, then cut them instead of cutting all the small shapes involved with the tree. There are two different fabrics for the leaf shapes, a darker and a lighter fabric, and she used the layout guide to create hers. She noted that because the larger flowers have both embroideries in the background that she cut her flowers and then stitched them in place right on the background versus doing it separately first. This release was planned for this past Tuesday, Continue reading
I am happy to finally release Sunbonnet Sue and Sam Canada – Prince Edward Island. This is a pretty simple design for the Island, but cute none the less.
Sam is the Free block for this release
The Flickr Turn in date is Nov 29, 2017.
So, let’s get to the downloads…
Next up in the releases is Sue and Sam In Georgia… I love this pattern set, so fun and quite delicate at the same time. Kind of reminds me of those porcelain niknaks that were popular when I was a little girl. I can’t for the life of me remember the name now, but maybe someone knows what I mean…
With Georgia, Sam is the Free pattern, and Sue is the rewards block.
Created in Electric Quilt with commissioned artwork that is exclusive to use by Seams To Be Sew from Clipartopolis. I hope you enjoy this absolutely adorable set of patterns for Georgia.
