How could anyone go outside in the winter to come back inside and not sit down in front of a roaring fire with a wonderful cup of Hot Chocolate? I may not have the fireplace, but I do love Hot Chocolate. So today I share a cup with you…
You will be receiving the 8×10 pattern of this cup, perfect size for a fun mugrug. I’m sorry the text in the image does not come with the free pattern.
I do still seem to be having intermittent internet issues, guess I’ll break down and call Xfinity today if they continue.
Today’s pattern is a part 1 of 2 type pattern, you will get the other part of the pattern tomorrow. It is perfect for Hot Chocolate… 🙂
Do you remember as a child going out in the snow in those fun boots or galoshes? I sure remember the various different boots we wore over the years. From fancy to downright floppy flaps I remember them like it was yesterday.
Today’s free pattern is like receiving 5 patterns in one. The snow boots come in 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12-inch sizes and you’re getting all 5 sizes of the pattern.
I was happy you enjoyed yesterday’s pattern. I thought it was so adorable and I have more penguins to come soon.
So let’s get on inside the post and download today’s free pattern.
Of the many events, I host each year, this one is probably my favorite. This is my 4th year doing the 12 Days event, I’d like to say it was my 5th, but the first year I really only gave away a few patterns at the first week in December. I’d only had my blog open at that time for about 9 months and had very little activity on it at the time. It wasn’t until the following year when I’d participated in many blog hops that I got the idea to do a 12-day event. I can promise you this, it is fun and at the same time by the time it’s almost done with, I’m ready for it to be over. This year will not be any different, but this year also I’m very happy about the theme I’ve chosen for this years 12-Days event. I’ve done trees as a theme (that was my first one), I’ve done ornaments and figures for a combined wallhanging Janeen and I did the second year, last year I did my favorite things for Christmas as a theme. This year I’ve chosen something else that is a favorite of mine, but it doesn’t necessarily have a Christmas theme to it. It goes with Christmas, but it’s not Christmas oriented. 🙂
Can you guess what my theme is this year? I’ve left plenty of clues, maybe you can figure it out before Friday starts and I’d love to hear what you think the theme is.. Please leave me a comment, if you guess it, I’ll answer you back in email… if not I guess you’ll wait till Friday to figure it out. 🙂
12-Days 2014 is the first event I ever held on my blog as an event that was exclusive to my blog, so it will always hold that magical place in my heart.
Other blogs do special things at this time of the year also, I will note them in this post and each day of the event also.
This post is mainly posted to let you know how it works. If you’re new to my blog it will be important for you to read this post. Continue reading →
You’re probably thinking I’d be tired of doing events, but I am so ready to start on something new and different…
I’ve made no bones about the fact that Winter is my favorite season of the year, and now that I’m moving to the Winter Wonderland in Colorado, I am so looking forward to digging out all my sweaters and enjoying the wearing of my sweaters once again. It’s like I will have a whole new closet of clothing coming to me even tho they are pretty old. Here in Sicily, while it does get cold in the winter, it’s never quite cold enough to wear sweaters or heavy coats. Ever since we moved from Germany, my sweaters have literally been on vacation, getting very little use at all. They will be singing with joy as they know that I love each and every one of them. Most were all hand picked by my eyes for a permanent home with me. My other favorites for winter are flannel and wool… I love both fabrics and I love to sew with them.
So, I’ve decided I want to see your winter projects too.
Who doesn’t love the time of the year that we all remember sharing, charity, and being good to each other.
Being home for Christmas is always my goal, but rarely does it happen. I’ve discovered over the years tho, that if Christmas is in your heart, you are already at home.
This isn’t just about Christmas, even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, you can still share the time of year with us. If you celebrate Chanukkah for instance, please share in your joy for the season to.
Welcome!! Today is the last day of the Black Cat Crossing Blog Hop and also the day for me to show you what I’ve been up to this year. First, a Huge Thank You to Maywood Studio, Madam Samm, and Wendy, for sponsoring, hosting, and cheerleading us all on through this hop. Come take a peek at my little project for this hop… Continue reading →
I know, it’s a tad early, but, if your going to make a special gift for someone, you might like to consider this 9-Inch block I have created just for this special occasion. This includes my newest technique which you can read about here. I’ve also included cutting files for those of you with cutting machines. A MTC file and the SVG files are included. These are the applique shapes you will need if you can cut fabric with your cutters, but you can also use them to cut your freezer paper templates as well. They also include a placement layout for tracing onto your fabric or stabilizer/interfacing if you prefer. I’ll be adding a tutorial in a few days on how to use your cutter to trace onto your fabric. I can’t cut fabric on my cutter, so I do not know if the shapes work properly or not. I’ve ordered a new cutter that hopefully will resolve that problem, but until it’s here I’m stuck in the mud. I hope you will let me know if it worked for you or not. I refuse to use heat’n bond just to cut fabric shapes for applique as I am pretty die-hard on the issue of iron on applique and that for me it’s just not going to happen. The artwork for this design was created by Kristi W at Bear Necessities.
