Welcome To Winter My First Winter Row For EQ Seasons..

2015-Marian Pena-EQ Seasons-Winter 1

Welcome to Looking At The Snow!!

Artwork for this pattern is from Lisa Craig at Primsy Doodles.

Due to my internet being down last night, this post is late getting online. It looks like we are going to have more rain tonight, so I may not be back online until tomorrow.

I have created this row for you with two different fences, and each block is 10 x 9.

The pattern explains how to do all one fence type or both depending on your preference.

Here I have made a tutorial for you today on “Opening and Using PJ7 Files For Electric Quilt”.

These are my finished blocks that I created. Parts of my blocks were done via machine embroidery, but you can hand embroider them if you don’t have a embroidery machine.

and this is my finished row.

EQ Seasons Winter Row 1
Looking At The Snow

Bertie got a good use of the blanket stitch for the making of this row. It’s been a long time since I used a blanket stitch on a normal sewing machine, and while there are some burps, overall, I’m pretty pleased.

As a thank you, please leave me a comment, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Please download your files on a pc/desktop/laptop or Mac, versus over using Mobile Apps/Smart Devices/ipads/kindle… If your pdf doesn’t open, it’s most likely because you’ve used a device to download with that isn’t allowed for that app.

PDF Download – This is a zip file download which includes the .svg cutting files, and machine embroidery files along with a pdf file.

PJ7 Download – This is an Electric Quilt file, you must own the software to use it.

This gift from The Fat Quarter Shop is exclusive to this blog only today.

    1. LOL … and your help has been amazing, I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done to help with this Row-Along.. Your a blessing in disguise.. Hugs!! I’d love to see this one if you decide to make it to.. You made next weeks absolutely gorgeous, I really love how they turned out.. (I don’t want to reveal anything obvious, so I’m avoiding the name of the row) 🙂

  1. Absolutely Love this row, however it downloads in zipped form and I can’t open it. I have had this problem before. Do you have a link for a straight PDF file? I would really appreciate it, thanks. cdahlgren at live dot com

  2. I think these snowmen are so cute. I really want to make these. You mentioned your technique for applique…I will have to read through your tutorials and see how you do it.

    1. I hope you’ll try it Nancy, it’s really great as it makes removing the freezer paper when you turn the edges under very nice also. What I really love tho is being able to do circles so easily, no having to take and use a needle and thread then pulling it together.

  3. Trying that again. =) Thank you so much for sharing the very cute row. At first I thought the cutting files wouldn’t open because of the extension, but they popped up in Safari. I will have to figure out the embroidery by hand. =) I love your row!

    1. Cutting files are meant to be used with a cutting machine such as the KNKUSA machine that is being given away later in this event, or the Silhouette Cameo, Brother SNC, etc.. They will open in softwares that open .svg files such as even the opensource software known as Inkscape. All the parts even to do the small eyes etc can be done via applique as the shapes are included, but with small shapes I usually recommend doing hand embroidery if one doesn’t have an embroidery machine. I’m glad you like the row.

    1. Hi Laura, I’m sorry for some reason your comment ended up in the spam folder for wordpress and I’ve only just thought to check the folder today… I’m sew happy you like the gingerbread and snowmen row… I hope you will be back again and hopefully the spam plugin will not see you as spam anymore. … Hugs!!

    1. LoL Janie, I totally understand about the cookies 🙂 I’m glad you like the row, and please lets see you put together a block so you can enter the Flickr giveaway.

  4. The link to the PDF download seems to be pointing to a folder of the files you used to create it, including subfolders for cutting and embroidery. You might want to take a look at it, because this is a really cute row and I know lots of quilters are going to want the pattern.

    1. The files and folders are their for people use who cutting files, and machine embroidery files. My originals are separate from what’s in the zip file Sophie.. If I bunched it all into one folder, it would get very confusing on what’s what. 🙂
