Today I am participating in the Wish Upon A Star blog hop hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt.
Her fun idea says our project needs to include a star somewhere in the project.
With this hop, I thought about what I could do carefully, and when you see it, hopefully, you’ll agree, it’d be great for Memorial Day, Father’s Day or even the 4th of July…
I’ll be releasing the pattern tomorrow morning along with another cute little pattern I’ve done for the 4th of July. In the meantime, enjoy my project for today.
I’m just going to get to the nitty and the gritty. I did this both on my embroidery machine and on my sewing machine. My lettering is a little bit too big for the embroidery machine, but I am happy with how it turned out either way.
I used Island Batiks in this project and while I know the purple is probably a little to Oddish, I was trying to stay away from black… but now realize I should have just gone with the black background.
The artwork for this project is from Too Cute SVGs.
I will be releasing these two patterns probably tomorrow morning. I will post about them tomorrow along with a tutorial from Electric Quilt.
I’ll be giving away 5 of the My Hero Patterns.
Giveaway ends Sunday, May 27, at 11:59pm

Cute quilts!
Wonderful blocks. Perfect for so many events throughout the year. Love the “MY Hero” block.
This block has great versatility. Of course, it’s appropriate for a Quilt of Valor. My first thought with the adorable little one was for my granddaughter. She is four and graduated from Pre-K yesterday. My son has full custody of her. They lived with me for two years and have moved to another state about t2o and one half hours away. Now she has a new lady in her life – she calls her Jackie – nothing to do with Mom. She has a mom even though she has no communication with her at all. She is trying to acclimate two two “step” sisters who are 11 and 17. Now my son is trying to get full custody of his 12 year old son who is living with them. This would be a perfect block for her, too. She’s alrady endured much for an innocent four year old. THanks for the inspiration.
Adorable quilt blocks.
These are so cute Marian. I think these would be awesome to give to a veteran. Thank you for sharing and for your giveaway.
