About my video tutorials. I have no problem if you wish to download the video to your hard drive. I personally prefer this method myself, because my connection is not constant. It is not always fast either. So it always helps me if I download the video and watch it on my own pc. I use extensions for Firefox and/or Opera that will download videos from Youtube.

  1. I just “found” your site. I’m not sure where to find your sun bonnet trip around the world patterns, but now I am curious about the other patterns you have to offer.

  2. Just found your website today while looking at the EQ site. I’ve already signed up to receive emails, and can’t wait for the rest of “O Holy Night”. Since I was late getting started, I was unable to download the pdf’s for the trees, but I’m sure I can figure them out by enlarging the pictures. Thanks so much for the free patterns and all the instructions!! They are amazing!! I have EQ7, but just haven’t had time to sit down and figure out how to use it yet! One of these days….
    Blessings to you and yours!!

    1. Is it really ok to “copy” my pattern by using the pictures? What your really hurting is the abiity I will someday have to get artists permissions to create patterns. If everyone copied patterns that way, it will make creating patterns harder and harder. It’s already hard enough to get good artists to give you permission to reproduce their artwork for projects, but now right on my blog you admit to redrawing the patterns via the pictures without the permission to do so. Makes me want to put icons on my site instead of a good enough image to see with.. sigh.. Is 5.00 really that much of a hardship for missing a pattern? What about all my hard work creating those free patterns. If the only money you spent on these patterns is $5.00, then you should feel lucky that I’ll offer the rest free, but this kind of post is the very reason I or probably any other pattern designer questions doing free patterns at all.. It makes me sick to know that all my hard work can just be copied without my or the artists permission.

Please don’t copy designers patterns in this manner. It really takes a huge amount of time to create any pattern and it’s not just the time to redraw it, but it’s the time to think of a project to put it in, stitching it out.. sometimes several times to be sure it’s right, the cost of the materials, and the cost of licensing and purchasing artwork, let alone the time to get permission to use the artwork. It really saddens me to think it is so easy to copy others patterns.

      1. No it is mot okay to copy patterns from pictures. I did that very same thing once, however, with a quilting design on a block. I was in a hurry and could not wait for the book to arrive. Yes, I purchased the book advertised that had a quilting design on the cover that caught my eye. Designs are time consuming and property of the designer. Copying is theft of intellectual property which is not cool.

  3. I have just found your web site. Oh! How I wish I had found it sooner. I belong to a doll club and your designs would have made a darling raffle quilt. I can’t wait to make your door stop for the next Okanogan Valley Doll Club meeting. This has been a lovely day thanks to you.

  4. I was having problems with drawing details on a motif. I had asked an EQ Yahoo group and got no response. EQ Technical Service wrote back with changes in the settings. I saw your EQ video on “working with small areas when drawing” and it answered my questions!! Using the freehand tool instead of Bezier was the perfect solution! Thank you so much!!

    1. I’m so glad that my lesson could help you out with this problem. I know for me, it was found purely by accident when I clicked on the wrong icon one day. I was amazed that it would close those little areas. Thank you so much for commenting and letting me know it helped you.

      1. Hey,
Hilfe, Hilfe!! ich versuche mich anzumelden, weil ich Ihren BOM
mitnähen möchte, aber es gelingt mir einfach nicht.

        Liebe Grüße Geretrud
