I’m so crazy, what in the heck was I thinking… right in the middle of a row along I signed up for this hop, knowing full well how busy I’d be. I did not create a project for this hop, I just didn’t have the time. I had an idea, but it just never came about. So, I decided to take this post in a different direction. It still fits in with the theme of this blog hop so that I can properly post, but I am sorry there is no finished project to show you other than past projects I’ve made.
Hi Everyone, I’ve a little bug going on with my site at the moment, it has to be due to some of the wordpress updates lately. I’m working to try and find it. It seems to affect older pages on this site and not the newer ones tho, but if you try reloading the page you may see it also, it kinda looks like the path to the images. The bug affects all images, so I’ll be testing my plugins over the next few days to see which are current and which aren’t. I’m hoping it’s a simple problem like that and nothing else.
Today I came to my blog to add some edits to the BOTM page for 2019, at least two BOTMs have finished and 4 more are starting or have started and I wanted to get them posted to you today. I realized pretty quickly that my sidebar stuff was gone, all that was there was the search bar, and the social icons, everything else was gone. One of the things about WordPress is that when you even switch a theme, the one backup you should make over everything else you also have to back up is your widgets on your Continue reading
Hi Everyone, I’ve added a few new block of the months going on around the web to my 2019 list. I thought you might like to know about them, so really quickly, here they are..
I definitely have my favorite block of the months I look foward to each year and so I was happy to see that Buttermilk Basin and Morning Glory‘s botms had started. You might have missed block 1 from Buttermilk Basin, but block 2 is up and if you like working with wool (you can do them in cotton also) you will want to get to their site and get block 2 downloaded.
Reeze always does her main block for each month and then throws in a bonus block, so be sure you are on her newsletter so you get the coupon code for the bonus block.
The cute Gingerbread Village BOTM from Days filled with Joy is just getting started and is an absolutely adorable embroidery BOTM.
And… At Little Rabbit Quilt Co, Rosie is starting a new BOTM on March 01, if you visit her blog you can already tell this is a BOTM you won’t want to miss as she has some very cute patterns. I’m just getting to know Rosie as she has signed up to do the Row Along this year but I can tell she’s gonna be a great friend already.
These BOTMs are also Continue reading
Happy New Year!! Each year on my blog I feature a list of the block of the months, Quilt Alongs, Sew Alongs, and other various events that happen on other sites each year. I love the block of the months myself and this list helps me to keep track, and I’ve heard from you that it also helps you keep track.
This is the one page on my blog that I do actually update often during the year. It will get updated a lot over the course of this month as new sites are found that are offering a block of the months.
I thank you so much for patiently waiting for me to get these blocks released. You all have been amazing. These are Aprils Block of the Month releases for Sue and Sam In The USA… May’s release will be during the week of May 22. I will try to release on the 22nd, but it will just depend on how far I am into getting caught up.
Sam is the free download for this release with Sue being the release for May when it’s released in a few weeks. To download the Sams In these two states, Click On the Images below:
I’ve looked forward to releasing Tennessee, ever since I got the artwork for it. I love it. While I love this entire series of patterns, Tennessee has become one of my favorite patterns.
Sue is the Free pattern for this set, you have till April 26 to turn her in for the free Sam pattern.
I love the backdrop of the snow in these patterns, but I’m thinking if I were going to use this on point block, I’d want to make it the snow packed area instead of having the background itself… so it’s an option you to can think about when your making this block.
This block will go easily together, it doesn’t have a lot of embroidery to it and does stitch together quite quickly. I love the skiers, and how cool they are… Please note, that my Sue in this image to the left, is a mirror image of how she is actually designed.
Sue is the Free pattern this month, you’ll have Continue reading
