Hi Everyone, I’ve added a few new block of the months going on around the web to my 2019 list. I thought you might like to know about them, so really quickly, here they are..
I definitely have my favorite block of the months I look foward to each year and so I was happy to see that Buttermilk Basin and Morning Glory‘s botms had started. You might have missed block 1 from Buttermilk Basin, but block 2 is up and if you like working with wool (you can do them in cotton also) you will want to get to their site and get block 2 downloaded.
Reeze always does her main block for each month and then throws in a bonus block, so be sure you are on her newsletter so you get the coupon code for the bonus block.
The cute Gingerbread Village BOTM from Days filled with Joy is just getting started and is an absolutely adorable embroidery BOTM.
And… At Little Rabbit Quilt Co, Rosie is starting a new BOTM on March 01, if you visit her blog you can already tell this is a BOTM you won’t want to miss as she has some very cute patterns. I’m just getting to know Rosie as she has signed up to do the Row Along this year but I can tell she’s gonna be a great friend already.
These BOTMs are also Continue reading
Happy New Year!! Each year on my blog I feature a list of the block of the months, Quilt Alongs, Sew Alongs, and other various events that happen on other sites each year. I love the block of the months myself and this list helps me to keep track, and I’ve heard from you that it also helps you keep track.
This is the one page on my blog that I do actually update often during the year. It will get updated a lot over the course of this month as new sites are found that are offering a block of the months.
I thank you so much for patiently waiting for me to get these blocks released. You all have been amazing. These are Aprils Block of the Month releases for Sue and Sam In The USA… May’s release will be during the week of May 22. I will try to release on the 22nd, but it will just depend on how far I am into getting caught up.
Sam is the free download for this release with Sue being the release for May when it’s released in a few weeks. To download the Sams In these two states, Click On the Images below:
I’ve looked forward to releasing Tennessee, ever since I got the artwork for it. I love it. While I love this entire series of patterns, Tennessee has become one of my favorite patterns.
Sue is the Free pattern for this set, you have till April 26 to turn her in for the free Sam pattern.
I love the backdrop of the snow in these patterns, but I’m thinking if I were going to use this on point block, I’d want to make it the snow packed area instead of having the background itself… so it’s an option you to can think about when your making this block.
This block will go easily together, it doesn’t have a lot of embroidery to it and does stitch together quite quickly. I love the skiers, and how cool they are… Please note, that my Sue in this image to the left, is a mirror image of how she is actually designed.
Sue is the Free pattern this month, you’ll have Continue reading
I know I’m a bit late, I am still battling some back issues, but I did manage to finish these for you today.
This week’s release is Sue and Sam In Michigan. Sue is the Free pattern this week, with Sam being the Flickr reward.

This week the free release is Sue In Arizona, with the Sam being the Flickr reward. This week also starts the Canadian BOTM – Sue in Quebec is the free release, and Sam is the Flickr Reward
I am late this week, for the simple reason that these patterns took me much longer to create than they have in the past. I have made the decision tho to extend this block of the week to the same timing as last years, where a release will be made every other Monday, twice a month… so the first and third Mondays will be release days, starting with February. The USA block of the week will be a two-year event instead of the one year it currently is. If I don’t make this change, I don’t have time for anything else, and I do have other obligations this year besides just this block of the week event. The Canadian Block will remain as is, with one exception, the block will be released the 2nd Monday of every month.
